    I'm running the current version of BlackBerry Link. When I connect my Z10, the Link software shows that there is an update for the Z10. Check the image below. It show that the installed version and the version it wants to install ARE THE SAME VERSION. Obviously, an error.

    To double check, I went into the Z10's setting and did a check for software update and it correctly reported (in contradiction to BBLink) that there was no update available.

    This really needs to be addressed!

    My copy of Link does it all the time and I just ignore it. In fact, If I didn't need a backup just to serve my OCD, I'd do away with Link all together. Not like I actually RESTORE any of those backups! I just backup. lol

    Do you see the same thing if you check for a software update right on the device?

    I recommend using Sachesi to back up and restore... link hasn't worked since first week on my win7 pc.... BlackBerry hasn't been any help trying to resolve. Sent in multiple log files to no avail....

    I am running the macintosh version of Link and rocking a Z10 STL100-3 on 10.2.0.429 and it tells me I am not current software all the time, the funny thing is if you select "update software" it will actually download it before telling you that your software is current. It has been doing it from day one. I don't really use it except for backup because the OTA software updates works well anyway. Very disappointing that it hasn't been fixed in a year.

    I actual have never gotten any update prompts in Link whatsoever. Not for the phone, nor for Link itself. Even if there was officially updates available.

    That was part of my post. When I checked the Z10 > Settings > Software Update, it confirmed the current version and said that there was NO update.

    LINK SUCKS! But that's just my opinion and that of millions of others! See my new thread - I can't do a custom backup because Link is not showing checkboxes on what I want to "customly" backup!!!!
