I had the same problem with my first Z10. If was fine for like a couple weeks then out of nowhere my battery would die in a matter of a few hours. I didn't even use it. It was just signed on the counter. My Service provider top it back and sent me a new one and now this one started to do the same thing. I'm sitting in front of my wifi router and the wireless light is blinking like mad.

Turned off wifi on my phone and the light stopped blinking. Turned it back on and it started blinking again. I wasn't doing anything with my phone like using any apps.

Is there any way to see what is using my wifi. I deleted all my apps and reinstalled them. The light seems to have calmed down a bit. Gonna fully recharge my phone again and put it in airplane mode to see if it will last any longer.

Maybe there is something using up data and or wifi continually and draining the battery.

What I did was backup then wipe then restore phone then delete app and some games after and did a restart every time I deleted an app. Phone is working great now took a while to do but it's now working perfectly.

This pretty much shows its a software issue. It's just a needle in the haystack search to figure out.

Sadly,I don't think it has helped by deleting all apps after all.
I was showing off a bunch (lots) of pictures to a friend, and had screen on bright for a while, and had similar battery drain rates as with all my apps installed. Sigh.
I guess I will just have to realize that this glorious phone and screen (as with many other current super phones) love to drink battery juice. And lots of it.
I just dont get how some people are posting such great battery life......

Ok here is the list of app and games I removed.

    Games
    Jet pack joyride
    Beach buggy blitz
    Sector strike
    Thumbs mahness
    Trid

    App
Be buzz 10pro ( this app is good)
    BlackBerry travel
    Kindle
    Maxim

Now I have not tried to install one at a time to see if the problem happens again. But I will try. If anyone has these apps or games installed and it's not causing problems please post so I can take it off the list thanks.

Check in your email account settings(if there is any)and switch sync time from 30 minutes to 4 hours, I've seen a 2 hour extension on battery life.

That and I have nfc, and blue tooth off.
    Screen at 40%
    Gestures on lock screen off.

And I'm getting 9-11 hours with mid-heavy usage.

Good info u will try this too and see if it helps. Where do I go to change the sync settings

I just reinstalled my Os but have not yet restored my phone. I have now added battery guru, one email account and cb. Prior to adding cb the phone was drawing only .05w instead of 1w. Looking good except how do I just install only contacts?

I am all better - clearly a bug in the os. I saved my contacts to sim but lost everything for contacts on BBM. Really don't want to run a restore and screw up the phone again.

I too was having excessive battery drain. I had a large number of apps installed. Did a security wipe after saving my pictures, music etc. I have only added a few apps to the phone since the reboot which was a couple of days ago. Everything is back to normal. Looks like it was an app problem. As I said I had a lot of apps so I really don't know which one was the problem but I am relieved everything is running perfectly now.

My phone runs way cooler. Generally low 20's instead of thirties and forties. Happy to resolve the problem but wish there was an easy way to restore only contacts. May try restore and see if the old problem resurfaces. That way I know for sure it's a software problem in the os as I already reinstalled the few apps I had left on the phone and they clearly are fine. Btw my phone came off the charger today at 630 and is still at 80% - prior to the re install of the os I would be under 80 on my second battery.
