Hello. I'm using STL100-1 on OS 10.2.1.1925(leak). As this OS supports lots of android applications, I'm using it on its peak. The problem I'm facing is that my battery becomes low in a hour, even if its 100% charged. I usually play games like Vector, pop and few others on it and do social use.

Am I using it that much? Or my battery life is at end?(In my opinion I'm not using it that much.)

    Thank You

First question: are you making sure that you close your Android applications? Many of them tend to run in the background, hence using battery. That would be the first thing I'd check - make sure that you actively close each app when you're done with it. Check the 1925 leak thread to see if others have had battery issues with that leak. I have 1055 so can't help there. How long have you had the leak on? If it has only been a short time, it may not have settled yet (normally, there is increased battery consumption after installing a leak, then it settles down). Some games do use more battery than others so check the app manager to see what they are consuming.

Thank you for suggestions. I'm pretty sure about apps, because I always check them until they are fully closed. Its been a week I guess, maybe few more days will settle it down(I hope).

Check in device monitor under CPU, it will show all the apps that are running, you can manually close them by clicking on each app and choosing "close".. try that.

Games can definitely drain the battery quickly - depends on the game.

I'm having poor battery life on. 1925 as well. I've had this leak for just over a week and despite many of the great features, battery life has been an issue. On previous 10.2 versions I always had excellent battery life, definitely no need to charge throughout the day. Perhaps the system is still settling in? There is a thread "10.2.1.1925 is crazy" under BB10 leaked/beta OS forum which gives some insight. Btw I don't play any games nor do I run android apps on my device.

Just took my phone off the charger less than 40 min ago and here's where I stand...

The graph and running processes don't seem out of the ordinary but the battery drain problem is peculiar. Are you running on LTE?

This is my battery graph from yesterday. The graph is a little cut off for some reason (Took it off the charger at 11:05 AM)

I've been on WiFi the majority of the past week since I'm on vacation. Only turn off when I'm out and about. It just doesn't make sense. All else was well before this leak. It doesn't make sense that the battery suddenly would be on its way out. Hoping it rectifies itself bc it really sucks having to carry a charger around. Never had to replace a BB battery either in all the yrs I've owned BB device.

Could be a rogue process, try a quick reboot and let the device settle. That might fix the issue.

Some wifi hotspots are known to drain battery. Like the Eduroam ones. When you're back from vacationing try and see if it fixes itself.

If it was fine before the leak I'd downgrade to your previous OS.

I tried hard to get a good battery timing but all my struggles were unsuccessful. Even I faced a new problem! I charged my z10 to 100% and used it as normal, no games, no multimedia. Just texting, it went to 0% from 100% within 10 minutes. I used that 0% battery for 6 hours or more with full use. Don't know what's the problem.

So finally, I downgraded my OS to .1259 leak. Now every thing is normal.
