I thought I had the perfect Z10, went to bed last night with full charge, woke up this morning with my phone dead...so there's definitely something wrong with the battery as mentioned in other thread, i have the phone since launch day with zero problem. now I'm sad...

Did you have full LTE and other connections on? That could do it. If not, try a reboot. Something must have done it.

On just 4 G I'm getting 24 hours easy now.

I left LTE on for the first time last night i'm usually on 4G and I use sleep mode..
Maybe that's why is was dead this morning!

leaving lte on overnight should not drain your battery, even with bluetooth and wifi, unless you sleep for 20 hours. I turn my phone on at 5am when I gt up, and when I get home at 5 pm, I still have 40-50 percent left. time for a battery pull

There have been some other posts as of recent of the Z10 using large ammounts of data when left on LTE over nightl if your phone wasn't plugged in AND it sent or received a lot of data it could go hand in hand that your battery was dead by morning.

I read a tip in the forum to turn off the swipe gesture to unlock. I have tried it, and saw improvements right away. My phone will last all day now not having to charge until 11 or 12, and im a very heavy user. Also taking it out of LTE does help, but not 100% necessary from my experience.

Settings > Display > Allow gestures when locked .. Off

hopefully it works as good for you guys as it did for me

how much of an improvement do you see with it turned off? I get 8-12 hours on 4G and a bit of LTE (2 hours), with gestures when locked, "On". I would like to keep this neat feature on unless there is a drastic improvement that warrants increasing the general wear on the lock button.

Odd, mine with LTE off and in bedside mode barely uses any power at all all night. Wifi on.

I plugged mine in last night with 51% charge... made sure in my battery app it said "CHARGING"... went to bed.

Woke up at 7:30 am (8 hours later) and it showed charged but was blinking the low battery icon at me. Unplugged the charger and bam - 5%.

They'd better have this fixed in the 10.1 update.... I can't walk on pins and needles HOPING my battery is charging like the software is telling me it is.

No way the battery should have drained to zero just because LTE was on. Something else has to be going on!

I did have unintended discharge when I used my 9900 charger. Only use the z10 cable now... actually I use the mobile charging bundle more than anything else... who would have thought.

    NO MORE BATTERY PULLS.
Ppl need to forget this legacy OS thing. Just restart your phone using the top button. Does same thing as battery pull but is not as hard on your phone.

Agreed. Try a battery monitor app. If search CB should find review for a good one that logs usage data.

There is several battery draining posts. I know I have a phone that started draining the battery around mar 15. It's a software issue of some sort but not sure what. It also appears very closely related to the random reboot issue which I have never experienced but a solution to that issue has also shown to fix battery drain. It requires a wipe and os reload without restore. If you restore your phone you reload the soft ware glitch. Btw my phone will draw over one watt in standby.

Since completing a os reset without restore my phone no draws. 05w or less on standby and us running ten degrees cooler. Had an issue restoring all my contacts but beyond that the phone us back to impressive from a cool coffee warmer.
