I updated to 10.3.1 since 6 weeks on my Z10.

After that my battery died more quickly and the device is always hot when I use it for facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, almost all the apps

I have to mention also that, some apps like navita translator (I use a lot for work, I answer a lot of emails on the device) do not work anymore.

    Some help please......

    Thanks

I would remove the battery for about 30 minutes and replace it into your phone. Then I would uninstall the navita and reinstall it.
If the heating issue doesn't stop, you will need to reload the OS. If you loaded the OS OTA then that is the answer right there. Many OTA installs are bad and introduce issues. Also there are newer OSes you could be installing that are probably better for your battery than the one you have now.

Yes, I loaded it OTA because the wi-fi in my work is slow nowadays

    2 questions :
-. Where can I find these newer OS?
-. Will I have better results if I make the update with my work device hot spot ?

    Thanks

Sounds odd...I updated via Sachesi from 10.2 to 10.3.1.2726 and then updated to 10.3.1.2744. Once I got off of 10.2, my battery life was improved.

Any chance you could wipe and load fresh OS?

The 10.3.1 update doubled the battery life on the GSM Z10. Almost insanely... I'm shocked how long that thing lasts with such a small battery! On my father's Verizon Z10 I did a non-destructive SACHESI update from Rogers to 10.3.1 and his battery life also improved, but not as dramatically.

Likely something isn't working well with the new OS and most advice you will get would be to reload the OS which would delete everything. Either that or depending on the OS you could try to update it to the latest doing a non-destructive. If it doesn't help you'd most likely have to reload the OS.

Anything new eating your battery in the device monitor? Also worth a look. Will give you a good idea of what's causing your battery to drain and is def much better than having to wipe the device.

It sounds like something is misbehaving in the background, check device monitor for a 48hr period.

I believe it's a change in brightness settings. Before, my daylight brightness setting is always midway. Now, midway is just too bright and the battery drains faster, too. I have to move it to 1/4. After doing that, the battery life is about the same as before.

I can chase down all these bad battery life on z10 threads and universally say "CHECK YOUR PIM SVCS!" make sure your accounts are not set to 30 mins. Put them to 24 hrs.
