    Has anyone else noticed this? Is there any fix for this. I am 3-4 groups and theres a lot of messages coming in all the time I don't know if that's the reason, but my battery life is basically half of what it used to be before installing WhatsApp

    It's most likely the several groups your in that's causing whatsapp to have excessive drain.

    Same happens in apple as well as s3 when messages keep pouring in. Normal for group which is very active.

    Whatsapp and hookt both battery drains on all platforms. Hookt used to kill my 9810 in no time and I find Whatsapp not as bad, but still a drainer on z10

    You're probably using the phone a lot more as well. I know I've been since whatsapp came out.

    Yes, the frequent receiving of messages is capable of zapping your phone battery dry, even if you haven't done a thing. Happens on all phones.
