Battery life on the BB Z10 STL100-1

Since I bought my Z10 a month ago I've noticed that the battery life is very poor, I have gotten more life out of my BB bold 9900. What can I do
to increase the battery life? I've turned off WiFi and Bluetooth when not in use, but still by afternoon the battery is already half way and have
to run and find a charger, something I hardly did with the bold. Does anyone know if BB is looking into upgrading their battery for the Z10?
They really need to do something quick!.

Lol I'm just kidding. Your Z10 is not going to have a battery life as good as your old phone and that is unfortunately something you're just going to have to get used to. Also, your screen brightness is probably a huge contributing factor. You also might want to think about investing in the battery charging bundle.

Well on my STL 100-1 battery is good on OS 10.2, if you did not update to OS 10.2 i suggest doing it now. I also suggest putting brightness on 50% or lower, turining off BlackBerry Link on the phone in settings, and finally i would say let the battery drain completely and charge the phone to full 100% with no interruption.

The battery life isn't good yes and battery saving tips and os updates can only improve is so much. You can try keeping your screen brightness to a minimum, turn off any features/settings you don't use and same goes for apps running in the background but again you can only do so much with the given battery.

As for hardware solution, iv never really looked into it much out you can get those battery charger bundles can carry an extra battery if you move around a lot or you can get 3rd party battery like these

Again Iv never used them so I can't say how good or useful they are but it's an option, maybe some other users can give you a better idea

Thanks GS51. I've updated my phone to OS 10.2.0.424 two weeks ago and it did improve the battery life over the 10.1 a bit, but not significantly.
