    I have a Z10 16GB variant 10.1.4181 STL100-1
The battery indicator of the phone is just not right! It fluctuate alot! It either stop charging at 45 percent or 55 or even 84. Sometimes I wonder if my Z10 is a girl whom have a mood-swing.

Have you tried draining the battery all the way until 0% and charging it full again?

can you illustrate me the way?
I have tried AUTOLOAD, reboot, plug out the battery while it's charging. EVERYTHING SIMPLY DON'T WORK.
Using this as my work phone, handles everything well but not the simple battery indicator. WHAT IS RIM DOING?

Are you charging from a pc or a wall plug. And are you using the cable that came with the phone.

Yes, using OEM charger that came with my Z10.
Tried both pc and wall plug. It simply don't work! sometimes it will charged to 84 sometimes 56 or 54, whatsoever numeric value it chooses to stop charge.

Some STL100-1 users running 10.1 also having same problem with you, and afaik this issue already solved in 10.2 OS leaked build. STL100-1 users please confirm.

Here, read posts by user breakdanc3, he's running 10.2 and it's solved. So most probably this is software issue.

Problem is that build also has issues which is resolvable with some workaround. If you're not sure can endure it, better not do it and wait for another week or two, as there will be more stable leak available for STL100-1.

For your battery reading issue, worry not, as your phone's battery life is basically not affected.

Replace the battery, your battery was deflected. I have the same condition on my STL-2, OS upgrading was not the solution. I bought another battery and working good now

If there really is an issue, while it might be the OS, being a corporate phone, addressing the hardware would probably be preferred.

Charge battery till mobile says it's full regardless of its percentage, then Turn your mobile off, reput on charger till led turns green, remove battery, sim & sd card for 1-2 hours, put battery, sim & sd card in place, see if problem is solved.
If not, drain the battery till phone turns off by itself, remove battery for couple of hours then put it again and charge it while phone is turned off (if the mobile turns on by itself just turn it off by holding the power button till it turns off then leave it to charge till led turns green) .
    Appreciate the feedback.

There is definitely some bug in the battery stats reporting module.
    Somehow it doesn't affect everyone.
I had everything working fine till i upgraded to 10.2.0.1047 but after that i have this strange problem which doesn't go away even when I have downgraded to 10.1 and done every thing else like security wipes and multiple installs of all possible OS versions etc.

Essentially, my Z10 shows 70% battery when it has actually gone to 0%. So I use the phone extensively during the day and it will only go down to 75-80% (while earlier it would be 20-30% by evening) and then it will shutdown at around 70%. ALWAYS. I connect the charger and boot it up and battery will show 70% but will shutdown again if I remove the charger. Once its charged beyond 70-75% it works OK.

All apps show good battery health and 4000mV voltage etc. And all report the same battery %.

I have not tried changing the battery as it lasts the whole day for me (even a little longer than earlier) so its perfectly usable. I just need to remember that 70% is Zero battery !
