FYI and another data point, I have a STL-003 Z10 with a 64Gb Samsung UHS-I Pro card installed; it has about 58Gb of WMA music files loaded.

Coming out of sleep/lock, Battery Guru reports 0.0W power consumption and 102 hours to empty. After a minute with no other apps running, it's showing 0.1W power consumption and 89 hours to empty.

So in my case, with a different, nearly full, uSDHC card, constant battery drain doesn't seem to be an issue.

I've noticed the drain, 64gb ultra card here. I've taken the card out and my battery life is back to being fantastic again. It's significantly worse with the card in. I was trying to figure out what was causing the drain and was going crazy - I'm glad someone posted this!!

Anyone else experiencing this / find a resolution?

My idle use has been 0.01 watts all evening. I pulled my card out as soon as I read this thread. With the card out it is still 0.01 watts. I am not seeing this problem. I have an STL100-3 on AT&T. It is a carrier unlocked Canadian model. Myver returns 10.1.0.2025.

There have only been two responses on BlackBerry Support Forums so far... no one from BB. However, one person believed that certain cards had issues with them not going into 'idle' mode. They were using a 'Transcend' card with a lower capacity and had good results.

SanDisk only has one 64GB microSD card to my knowledge so I'll try another make if not another capacity.

I have that same SanDisk Ultra 64GB SD card. It was formatted in the Z10. At idle Battery Guru reads 0.00 to 0.01 watts while at home. At the office I see a constant drain I believe is related to ActiveSync. You might try formatting it again.
Tried formatting it again. Even tried erasing it first (which caused the Z10 to notify me of an error) and then reformatted it to get it to be read. No change. Still settled down at 0.4 watt drain on idle and when removed it settled down to 0.03 watt drain on idle.

I keep reading about a lot of people having issues with this SanDisk 64GB card, not just on BB10, but other devices too. If you read the reviews on either Amazon, TigerDirect, or other stores, you'll find that there was a batch of bad cards from SanDisk.

I'm thinking of getting a Kingston 64GB Class 10 card instead now. It runs at 10MB/sec, as opposed to SanDisk's 30MB/sec. But I think that's because SanDisk has the "ultra" cards, and Kingston doesn't.

Anyone know if the Kingston 64GB Class 10 card would work? They're decently priced on eBay...

Seriously, just don't be dumb and buy from very suspect resellers. Doing this increases the likely chance of obtaining a bad SD card. Look at reseller ratings for the product. Provided they are high enough (and most importantly recent), you will be fine.

This is the one I'm looking at... Is this a good one? Will it work in a Z10/Q10?

This all seems weird, especially since Blackberry Netherlands is giving away 64gb cards for free with a Z10 or Q10 purchase. If they were really not completely compatible they wouldn't do that, right?

I haven't received mine yet but I will report when I do. Probably next week or so.

I got SanDisk 64 Ultra for my lady and myself. They both came from Amazon. The orders were about 7 weeks apart. I checked her Z10 and don't see any unexplained power drain.

I've had battery drain problems on and off with my Z10 (STL100-2 on 10.1 official). There seems to be no pattern. Yesterday was really bad, by 11:00AM the battery was down to 10%, the phone had been hot to. All I had done with the phone was take 3 photos, and use Whatsapp.
Spotted this thread last night, and have removed my 16GB scanDisc card.
Today, no SD card, have made a few long phone calls, used whatsapp, CB10, facebook, and email. The battery is currently at 74% its now 1:45PM.
I'm going to test this for a couple of days. Then go back to using the SD card.

So, I was able to try it out with a SanDisk 16GB class 4 card (this one: microSD and microSDHC Memory Cards by SanDisk) and the battery settled at 0.03 watt drain on idle. So, essentially no issue with the 32GB card.

And just to make sure it was my 64GB card, I put it in again, reformatted, and it settled at a 0.39 watt drain so this card is still an issue for me.

Hopefully I can find a 64GB card that will work with no drain (will go buy another 64GB SanDisk to see if it is just my card that is faulty) but if it continues, I'll just drop to a 32GB.

I have a SanDisk Ultra 64GB. no impact on battery life.
    Running on OS .2354 + radio .2063.
Yesterday was very moderate day of use, with just few emails, some BBM, no phone calls at all, one game downloaded and isntalled from BB World and few minutes played, and half an hour internet browsing.
Between 7pm and 7am connected to WiFi, otherwise H, and battery went down to 10% after 27,5 hours.

I assume you mean 0.01 W. Actually 0.1 W is high power use at idle.

Well, I thought things were looking up with the 64gb SanDisk ultra out of the device and I was getting consistent 12hr days with heavy useage.

That all went into the toilet today...

From the ZED via CB10.. booyah!
