So I have been checking app world regularly for battery enhancing apps (the battery apps for the older bb's worked wonders) and today finally I noticed TWO battery enhancing apps available for free. I just downloaded one to try it out, will download the other to see which works the best. hopefully this will help with the battery life especially for those of us who are heavy users. Anyways check it out guys!

battery booster free (droid mobile software). I think this is an android port

free battery booster. running this one now however it seems to be more of an optimizer.

Yup, I proved that with the readings from Battery Guru. The placebo effect does wonders for some people though haha. Check out those reviews in BB world.

I can't believe BlackBerry actually approved these apps, they said there were going to tighten up on apps like these. Theres nothing the in APIs that would allow an app to "optimize" battery.

I've tested 2 battery booster free and nothing changes at all, shows wrong information. Noway, a battery android port can work well in BB10.

the only way you can optimized battery usage is by doing the following,
    a. turning off location services if not in use.
    b. ilive with just 2G for voice call and SMS , just use 3G or 4G if you need high speed data access
    c. of course turning off bt, wifi and NFC if not in use.
    d. minimize backlight
    e. keep ringer volume as low as possible

this is what i done with my previous bb and also with my z10.

I'm very suspicious that an android port could improve your battery life.
