Just found out the Z10 from verizon has GSM/CDMA capability, just like 9630/9930/9850

Is the CDMA uses RUIMcard or software inject?

It has GSM for world travel.

Uses a GSM/LTE SIM for subscriber identity. Wouldn't be compatible with the RUIM cards common in China, India, Thailand and the such.

Hopefully a related question, but if I'm traveling overseas with my Verizon Z10 and want to avoid any roaming fees, can I just remove the sim and turn off data and use wifi only? I don't plan on making calls either. Thanks!

Thanks...follow up question, does gps and location based services use data? Would I get dinged for roaming if I left location services on and even if I took out my sim?
