With the initial adoption of BlackBerry10 through the full screen z10, how are your feeling about the *rumor* Aristo model phone which would essentially be a beefed up version of the z10 with a potential release date before the end of the year.


As a person who bought the z10 just back in February, I'm definitely less excited about blackberry having a new flagship phone when they should be working on improving the software and general improvement of the much awaited z10 already... just me thought :]

Well they're updating the Z10 software, there's more updates coming within the next few months, they definitely won't let the Z10 die down. Aristo will be awesome Imo I would most certainly grab it in addition to my Z.

If they aren't able to do more than one thing at a time, I'd be worried.

I will buy it too if it gives me more things. I love official update and have no problems. Look at the people who bought the s3 a month ago. Things are always changing. The best thing is the keyboard on the Z10 and the ability to do many things with one hand.

Am interested in the Aristo too even tho I have the Z10 at this time. Looking forward to what this phone has to offer and will make a definite decision when it's available.

The only thing about the aristo that peeks my interest is the quad core processor. I would not update just for that, the screen on my z10 i think is perfect, bigger then that and it sacrifices the one handed use. The dual core on my Z10 also runs the software very well, I don't think a quad core would really make that much difference.

i used to say the same thing referring to getting BB10 on the playbook,,, i don't believe that anymore,,, they are just as clumsy & incompetent as ever...

Hopefully they tag along the quad core with a really good battery to go along with it as well. I think a general efficiency tweak with the QNX software should allow for this, wouldn't like to hear CB having the battery craxiness like what plagued the z10

I will always buy the latest and greatest. So I'm excited I got the Z10 and then the Q10 and I switch back and forth like a BOSS, plus just because there will be a new phone doesn't mean that BlackBerry will abandon the Z10 the beautiful thing about bb10 is that it is scalable.

When have they been able to? I'm still waiting for my cascades browser they promised last year for my playbooks. Bbry said they would continue working on bb7, seen any progress/leaks/updates lately? When was the last pb update?

I don't want to see Aristo as of this time. What i am willing to see is the os 10.2 on z that will really really save the 1800mah battery discharge with no lag and stutters.


If this will be done, then I'm going to be excited to see Aristo.

The software and hardware side of those are loosely coupled. For them to make new hardware has minimal impact on the software group.

Going by the multiple announcements made just this week, they seem to be able to do many things at one time.
As far as the Playbook browser goes, I guess they've changed their priorities but I can't blame you for being upset.

Really?? The last PlayBook update was in February.

I'm waiting patiently for the BlackBerry 10 update on the PlayBook. It's a lot to go through considering many of the gestures on BlackBerry 10 would be redundant on the PlayBook. Plus we still don't even know what they're planning to do with it. I'd like to see the hub to be interconnected on both devices. Ao that if I open an email on one, it's marked as read in both.

I remember there was an article on CB, I think written by Kevin, outlining the key differences that's likely to become the end result of bb10 on the PlayBook. Bigger screen and 1GB ram would need to have the actions and use on the PB (much) different then what we're familiar with, but what you would like to see should be easy to implement

I really want to see 1080p in the ARISTO. I think if it doesnt have that, reviewers will smash it for that, and it wont justify its flagship status. 1080p BB...please!!
