    I've got 2GB of Internet if I just minimise apps will it still use it or only when it's open?

    That's up to what the app is set for. By default, apps will keep on working when you minimize them into active frames.

    I wouldn't be too worried about your 2GB allowance though. Most apps are not data hungry (unless you plan to be running YouTube, Nobex and Pandora 24/7).
