For some reason, not always, just sometimes, when I see an apostrophe it is replaced by an �. That's is that�s. What would cause this to happen?

Seems I can even type the damned letter. It shows numbers. anyways. Sometime my apostrophe gets replaced by an a with a circumflex above it.

This happened now when I was using the CB app by the way and posting from my phone. As I said, it doesn't always happen

I just tried holding down all of the various characters that the keyboard creates but the Apostrophe is not one of those that creates additional characters if held down unlike say the "c" or "a" or "?" keys.

But I don't know what character you are seeing since you can't create it for this post. Are you using the English/US keyboard or a French one (is there a french one?)

That character a^ (well, like that) can be typed by pressing and holding the "a" and it is one of the choices. I don't know why it appears for the Apostrophe unless there's some substitution going on. I forget where bb buried the auto-text substitutions but you might check there.
