Try Google Play store or Amazon Appstore.

Don't like Amazon, too many surprising omissions like Audible and Netflix to name just two, and nothing on earth will persuade me to adopt a Google ID. All of apk4fun apk20 and apkpure are excellent. So easy to download, and then install, and I greatly prefer to maintain as anonymous an online presence as possible. (Don't much like having a BlackBerry ID but there we are.)

I tend not to trust these sites, especially when there is the need to fetch new versions of banking apps. Raccoon (https://github.com/onyxbits/Raccoon or Raccoon - APK downloader | Onyxbits) can help in accessing Play store directly and fetching most of the applications. Though, you have to take care of geo-restrictions, etc.

Find your app in google play store. Copy/cut the url and go to
    https://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/ or
    https://m.apkpure.com/ or
    https://apk-dl.com/

Enter in the url you just copied/cut from Google play. It will then download to your device where you can then install it.

Don't bother with them awful APK downloader sites. The APKs they serve are probably maliciously modified, and they rarely seem to have the latest version of the app that I want.
Undoubtedly, the most reliable, and secure way to do this, is to get the APK files directly from Google Play.

I use Codekiem's/redphx's APK downloader which is a Chrome Plugin or Firefox Extension. This allows you to download the lastest version of the APK files directly from your browser. It will even download (where necessary) any required Android OBB expansion files!

The other way to do this directly from your phone is to use Snap which is a native BlackBerry 10 Google Play client. But I have no experience with this option.

Snap hasn't worked for quite some time for a lot of people. There is also Cobalt's brilliant solution for those comfortable with putting some Ps and Qs together.

Recently used apkmirror. Seems all right -- but still, be cautious. There are some other good suggestions here. Thanks everyone.
