    Happened to me long time ago. Unfortunately I forgot the solution, I have two step now and that works flawlesly

    I used to get that with my Playbook. I think it's a Gmail issue.

    When was the last time you rebooted your phone?
    I had this issue on my Playbook and my Z10 once, and I think the reboot fixed the issue form what I recall... but that was also awhile ago.
