Is it just me or is anyone having a problem with unstable usb connections when connected to a computer.

I think it has to do with the usb port being slightly loose or something on my z10. Literally any slightest touch or movement of the phone while its plugged in will result in my phone losing its connection and reconnecting. Its quite annoying that I cant text or anything when I'm transferring files and what not.

Its the worst for backups and loading leaks, because backups take forever and loading leaks is scary if your phone tends to connect and disconnect constantly.

Had this problem with inexpensive cords. Try a different usb cord.

If your device isn't very old take it in for warranty or buy a new cable.

I noticed this problem a while back. The problem that occurred was the fact the cord was not the original from BlackBerry.

I used several cords that were originally for an Android phones. They are made a slight thinner than the BlackBerry cords. I would suggest seeking the purchase of OEM BlackBerry cord.

I use wifi transfer to copy/move files to/from the device/computer. No cable required. But that does not solve it when doing a long term OS update. Give some of the suggestions a try. Good luck
