Yes that's true but you can get a custom one if you like by browsing for the ring tones, you of viruses will have to download some either from your old BlackBerry or off the forums here, I don't have the link right now but there is a thread here were I found some ring tones and you can get ring tone apps as well in BlackBerry World

Yes, it is true. However, you can choose any music file that you have in your phone already and make it a ringtone. I downloaded a tune from BlackBerry in Motion commercial and it is now my ringtone.
