Just wondering if Best buy will replace it once I've smashed it. Can't do anything with link so I reloaded the OS the internet way losing many things I had done on the phone since there is no way to back it up with link being a piece of crap software. Now this morning my phone has already rebooted itself after only being off the charger this morning for about an hour and half. Looks like it's about time to trade. Only have a few weeks now before my time is up to swap phones without just buying a new one. Blackberry if you hearing us why did you release such a piece of ****?

Yeah you are right its purely my opinion and my perspective on the things.
Yes there are few things which I personally believe not fit to me...
Yes file manager has pics for pics and video for video.. but one for device.. next for downloads other one download for brouser, wats app, mails... its good if a person want segregation but what if I wish to have it in one folder of pics and later on I can choose advanced menu... yes again its my perspective.
Browser. Well suppose I saw a number and wish to call it.. u cant (m using 10.1) u need to copy it and paste in dialing pad.. no u cant... remember it... again no autofill in forms.. to refresh click d side menu.. to open in new tab.. either the link dont highlight most of the time or else hold it for ages.. again I am saying its fast but nit good.. again my personal opinion...

Highlight/ select ir cut paste... it takes atleast 2-3 mis****s to get it right.. use iphone then u can catch d difference... again my opinion.

Side menu when hold... I tried to select few mails and want to delete well again so many steps and again miss hits so many times and do it again...
Try to delete prior.. it will take atleast 2 min to clean it.. and fb msg still there... again its my fault...

Try to attach a file.. it will take u to download folder if pics.. well then ckuck up.. then clicj several folders and somewhere inside u will find it.. not bad tough... iys ok. .

See again I didn't pointed business concern since OP already put it.. neither m an isheep or BlackBerry fanboy.. I use tech as its best and which gives value to my work and money.
Anyways I never wanted to degrade anyone and felt good to get a good reply...
Btw m an AI specialist and own a patent on smart sms and IVR based on predictive artificial intelligence and owns a small software company Grape Unicom
    Thankyou

Btw m holding my text and waitibg for side menu ti give me select all in browser.. I cant.. please help me with this too..
Ok I got it now 3 attempts

what device are you using to write this?

No! I f**king love my Z10, it's seriously an amazing piece of kit and I love watching Android and iPhone users drool over it and go "oooh that's cool" when using it. Hashtag massive smiley face.
Do they drool over the great pictures the BlackBerry z10 takes over the iphone?

I understand your comments. BBerry is theoretically a business device first. Give then a chance. They're trying to survive in a world where the best selling phones are toys, not tools. I have not tried but use your favorites list as a sort-of speed dial for more than 9?

Also, coming from Android, I had to pile-on apps to get the phone working sort-of as I wanted.
Theoretically its a messaging device first. For business it would need a few apps that are sorely missing.

I just uploaded a picture to a BBM group on my STL 100-3 Z10 with BB10.0.1.116 (latest official AT&T release)

    I then closed BBM

After opening BBM, I selected Groups, then Pictures. Here I can see the picture I just uploaded.

I select the picture and it opens on the top half of the screen with the comments section below it. From there, I press the overflow (3 vertical dots) button on the bottom right, and in the overflow menu, the bottom option is "Delete Picture"

If you are not able to do this, I am wondering if you are trying to delete another group member's picture (that you didn't upload). I haven't tested that, and would wonder if you might need group level permissions to delete other people's pictures, in which case the option might not be there. I am sure others can verify this.
of course the image of the other members in the group bbm.
because sometimes they post pictures that are not polite.
    so .... how to do????

So I had a group member upload a picture to the group that I created (this might be the key here, I still think this has to do with group permissions) and I got the update that a new picture was posted. I then opened the picture and went to the overflow menu and the bottom option was "delete picture". Once I pressed that, a confirmation pop up showed up asking me if I wanted to undo the delete action. I pressed elsewhere on the screen to get rid of the pop up, and the picture was removed from the group on my device.

I also posted a picture to the group and had the other member do the same thing on their bold 9900 and it deleted from their phone, but it still shows on my phone (most likely because it is my picture).

Not sure this helps you, but that is how I tested the picture deletion.

I like my Z10. I don't love it and probably never will.

The HUB is stupid IMHO especially for SMS messages. You tap the icon and it goes to the HUB. You have to tap again to get to the message. How redundant is that? Frankly, give me an email icon and a SMS icon like the older Torch I had and I'm good. All the swiping back and forth, in and out, is a pain in the ***. It always stays in the last place you were instead of defaulting behind the scene (maybe after a minute) back to the HUB itself. Then when you swipe the next time you just go where you want and you don't have to make multiple swipes.

The maps work perfectly each and every time. There was a glitch at first but an update corrected that and it's good. The only thing I'd like to see is the ability to landscape the screen but as it is, I just sit it on my console and listen to the directions. Perfect every time.

The keyboard with the flick feature is a major hit out of the park. I bet the next Apple and Samsung will try to emulate this feature. It's just that cool.

The reboot thing is a killer. I hear people saying how perfect their phone is but mine's not. It reboots way too regularly for my liking. And it freezes too - like in the middle of a sms message or reading a Facebook post - making me pull the battery to start over. I'm praying the next update eliminates that.

Skype should have been on this device from the get-go. Blackberry seemed preoccupied with social bull**** like Facebook and Twitter and forgot that iPhone has FaceTime which is great. I have it on my iPad and love it. It's an incredible way to communicate, especially when so many people have iPhones or iPads. They also have Skype so that would have helped tremendously.

The phone is perfect right....just as good as the leafs....or is it the other way around, leafs just as good as BB?
Going to be on my 4th unit.....
The thing wouldn't seem to pick up signal while in Vegas, Detroit...wouldn't even pick it back up when back in Canada....but the phone is flawless right? All these complaints can't be true if it hasn't happened to you right?

I find it amazing when folks who actually bring up VERY ligitimate issues and post them here, that flippant answers come back. Now, it is possible that SOME folks, like me and the op apparently, actually buy devices to boost their productivity, rather than watch movies and play games --- also important to many--- I get that.

Let's not forget, BB got its stripes pushing and excelling with the business productivity benefits. The other stuff is good and wanted as well, but IMHO NOT at the cost of the legacy functionality that many of us came to love and depend on.

SO for the OP: Do I like the Z10, yes? AM I dissappointed in several aspects of it? YES. Basically the detriment of what I thought was core, legacy, functionality.
    i

i agree about flippant answers, better to stfu or try and help.
i have my own complaint about zooming and the type screen zooming/edges disappearing but other than that it is a fantastic machine.
bb or an app man will adress my zoom problem soon i hope

    Hello all,
Came from a storm2 to z10. Like it BUT the email font size is waaaaaay to small for all the business emails I get. Pinching it to make it larger only results in horizontally moving the page left to right in order to read the email. how can an old storm2 have a decent size font formatted to the screen and the z10 doesn't?
Please somebody tell me that there IS a way on the z10 to adjust font size on incoming emails. Just bought the phone yesterday and this is a major deal breaker if it can't be corrected.
    Thanks in advance.

Same problems, over heating, unexpected serial restarts, extremely poor battery compared to my previous Bold, no new tweets push, very slow bbm due to no BIS type of push and many more, you are not alone there are many power users who are ready to return or already returned their phones. But in India they don't have a return policy so you are stuck to it.

Anyone with the least bit of concern for privacy and security isn't storing ANYTHING of value in the cloud...
...considering all of the recent news about government agencies collecting 'metadata', and the almost constant stream of stories about different companies hacked servers, why would you EVER put any sensitive information out on a server belonging to somebody else ?

The entire move to 'cloud-based' computing never contemplated security and privacy issues, and placing your infromation on a device that is totally under someone else's control is just the same as giving it to anyone who asks for it. You may never even know how and when your personal information is wrongfully taken, or by whom... that is, if you're lucky !

The unlucky ones will find out when they are the victim of identity theft and get a notice from their cloud site that "there was a bit of a problem...". If we allow companies like microsoft to 'sell' us on the idea of skydrive as the repository for our personal and business information, we deserve what we get. They can't figure out how to meet the public's need to fix their broken, newest, almost unusable version of Windows by adding back the "Start" button, because THEY DON'T THINK IT SHOULD BE THERE !

And you want to give them control over your data ? Not me !

If I want to send my personal and private data to a storage site outside of my physical control, I will decide to whom it will go... not some gamer-based developer who owes his or her income to a monolithic money-grabbing business whose seemingly only intent is to dictate what and how my computer sends them data with which they can create more useless "apps".

    Rant over now ! LOL...

I held an upgrade for more than a year when I found out the OS 7 phones wouldn't be able to be upgraded to OS 10...

    ...is it perfect ? No.

    Is it better ? Ab-so-effing-lutely !

Was it worth waiting ? Yep !

Gamers and TV watchers needed a cool device to attract them to BBRY or we be stuck with old guys like "Grumpyoldman" lol....no disrespect to the business men but those gamers and such are the people who will be taking over the world soon and they love their devices and they want them fancy.
Enter the Z10, not going to make everyone happy but at least BBRY took the step in the right direction in today's market place. The Q10 I am sure will appease some of the hard ball old schoolers who we all know walked to school in neck deep snow and up hill both ways whole typing flawlessly on there bold device...
It's coming someday, the super pleaser phone
..till then we have to adapt
