Q10 has the same OS and platform, has the same issued only difference is the physical keyboard vs touch screen I did not say I had any issues transitioning to a touch screen

You can encrypt your device as well as memory cards on the galaxy. BB Appworld has faulty apps (c) the thread by reenebob.

Ya but how encrypt can an open OS really be? Its like locking your doors setting your alarm but forgetting your windows all open.
Bb10 does not have added on securty like android, bb10 and every phone running it is built from the ground up with security in mind, by a company who has been the leader in mobile security for close to a decade. its almost an insult to compare androids security to blackberrys old or new.

As long as a iPhone or android can be jailbroken, rooted, among a list of things, they will never really be 100% secure. Androids cool and so is iOS, but you need to make those phones almost unusable for them to as secure as bbs(by blocking apps, certain permissions, etc.).

Bb might not be the next big OS, but one place they will remain the leader is security, that's part of the reason I switched back(though my 9930 crapped out in early 2012, just waited it out and upgraded my iPhone to the 5 for a bit).

I was just as disappointed as you when I first got my Z10. I actually put it away a good few times before I started to get used to it and now I love it. Does it do everything I want right now that I could before? No, but I know in time things will change and I'm willing to wait because I was a BB addict from the start and was excited for the Z10 launch. A lot of people here are just, no pun intended, crackberry addicts who love their BB no matter what, unconditional love and won't listen to what others have to say. It's actually very sad to see people attacking others because for even one second they doubted their blackberry. At the end of the day, it's a phone. But attacking other members on here, you guys are no better than the Android or iOS 'fanboys' who talk up their OS' and don't listen to what anyone else has to say.

Change your ******* font color... and no iOS isn't a superior OS... get real... the only advantage of iOS and android is the huge app ecosystem and additionally the extra customization of Android which not everyone likes... Yes even computer science students aren't always fans of android...

I am just wondering if anyone is as disapointed in their Z10 as I am? I have had mine for almost 2 months now. I have been a faithful BB addict for years now having had Curves and Bolds. I am a business user and rely on my BB for constant contact for business as well as personal.
For a business device I am very disappointed in the following
Lack of Speed Dial Buttons! Seriously 9? for Business? I dont get that. I down loaded a speed dial app and that requires almost as many gestures as just dialing the number. Voice dialing can be very frustrating as it is slow and inaccurate if you have alot of contacts with similar names.
Email: The lack of ability to change the size of type on incoming emails. I recieve alot of emails during the day and cant read most of them because they type is too small. (pinch is separate is not an option with lengthy emails) The fact that you cant control the size of the type is ridiculous.
No way to Auto Reply to texts: I assume that many Z10 users like me are very mobile, why in this day and age with awareness about the safety issues of texting and driving would they not have a simple auto reply ability?
Battery life: Very poor for power users.
Device constantly rebooting: No one seems to know how to cure this one but it reboots all day long
I think these are major issues for business users. All I have read is glowing reviews on how wonderful the Z10 is and how much better than the iphone it is but I don't know, as much as I said I would never ever use those other devices, I am getting tempted.
Does anyone else have these issues? Did everyone else drink the cool aid? Sure it is nice to have an 8 mp camera but who cares for business. My Bold had a crappy camera but it could do all of the above and more. Am I missing something are there solutions to these problems that I have not found yet?
    Thanks

Thats true blackberry has a lot bugs , a lot issues , no apps and no proper OS . but there is few facts we cant ignore ,

1.Best Email function , none of android or iPhone can match that system
2.BBM hub one of the best notifying system
    3.App switching system
    4.Predictive typing is awesome
5.Fewer apps means theyre easier to find
Regarding number 1, I have heard that stated numerous times and I have YET for anyone to tell me what is better about it vs iOS or Android?

The trend seems to be that if anyone posts legitimate issues/concerns or suggestions on how to improve BB performance fanboys come out in droves with cryptic "i love it" "no" responses to show thread balance. It is good to know what issues are out there, every phone has them, so folks can decide before they buy a phone rather then after.
Absolutely but as you have yet to understand in the thread, among other things, the thread title is a question. Am I wrong to answer his question or should I lie and tell everyone that I ******* hate this phone and then throw a temper tantrum? No. He asked a question, many of us gave an answer. I told him/her that I am very satisfied.

*sigh* People are all being civilized and the disgruntled people are throwing rocks just to get us to to throw heavier ones. :/

well u have to consider Most of BlackBerry users now a days are either school boys or kids who use bbm.. rest a bit old generation who live in third world countries and only 10 percent business users now.... so don't expect a good honest reply or opinion here from most of ppl.. they either are die hard crackberry guys or very ignorant on what others offer.
Yes op has a valid q... they lost sone core functionality and compromise on certain things so that they can pull isheeps.. But ignored business ppl...
Now we talk about how good brouser is.. well its fast but not good.. don't need to brief more we all know why..
Now here comes ease of use.. did anyone tried to copy or highlight anythibg from Z10... again pain in d ***... this side menu on right makes a simple multiple delete a 10 step process where u need to see which icon denotes what.
Google stopped syncing now so no push...
Try to dial a number.. it actually opens an app kinda wibdiw to dial and took ages to come... file mgr is so much mixed that u need to search for a particular file and it takes ages and cinfusion...
Sorry for my negative comments but I used z10 for a month along with my iPhone but z10 never becomed my first device..

Still iphone delivers top quality user exp. And android openness and this z10 needs a seruous overhoul.. otherwise it will loose it's business customers too who is the backbone and image if bb...
Thank you and yes u can start firing ny friends.. its ok.. but before that try to select all and copy my para to check if I am wrong.. do the same in iphone and android.. you will get the answer..
Still since u paid ur hard earned money for z10 so to be angry on me is ok.. thanks

I disagree. I had both an iPhone and a 920 and my Z10 trumps them all. I suggest you actually use a WP8 device for an extended period of time before you make such a ridiculous statement.

Mine searches fast or I look in the relevant directories. You know, pictures for pictures and music for music. Pretty simple.

In your opinion; which is based on very little facts. You lose customers by not evolving or having an app take information which leads to identity theft or credit card number theft. No. I think BB10 is exactly where it should be.

Thank you and yes u can start firing ny friends.. its ok.. but before that try to select all and copy my para to check if I am wrong.. do the same in iphone and android.. you will get the answer..
Did so on my Nexus 7 and my Z10. Both were equivalent. Both use the same arrows or teardrops in the case of BB10. They are equivalent.
Still since u paid ur hard earned money for z10 so to be angry on me is ok.. thanks
Just letting you know why your opinion and just an opinion and how your arguments are not backed up by any facts. Not to mention shutting you down for your insults. Your opinion has nothing to do with my satisfaction or my device. You can have all the negative feelings toward the Z10 you want but that doesn't change the fact that it is just your opinion

Yeah you are right its purely my opinion and my perspective on the things.
Yes there are few things which I personally believe not fit to me...
Yes file manager has pics for pics and video for video.. but one for device.. next for downloads other one download for brouser, wats app, mails... its good if a person want segregation but what if I wish to have it in one folder of pics and later on I can choose advanced menu... yes again its my perspective.
Browser. Well suppose I saw a number and wish to call it.. u cant (m using 10.1) u need to copy it and paste in dialing pad.. no u cant... remember it... again no autofill in forms.. to refresh click d side menu.. to open in new tab.. either the link dont highlight most of the time or else hold it for ages.. again I am saying its fast but nit good.. again my personal opinion...

Highlight/ select ir cut paste... it takes atleast 2-3 mis****s to get it right.. use iphone then u can catch d difference... again my opinion.

Side menu when hold... I tried to select few mails and want to delete well again so many steps and again miss hits so many times and do it again...
Try to delete prior.. it will take atleast 2 min to clean it.. and fb msg still there... again its my fault...

Try to attach a file.. it will take u to download folder if pics.. well then ckuck up.. then clicj several folders and somewhere inside u will find it.. not bad tough... iys ok. .

See again I didn't pointed business concern since OP already put it.. neither m an isheep or BlackBerry fanboy.. I use tech as its best and which gives value to my work and money.
Anyways I never wanted to degrade anyone and felt good to get a good reply...
Btw m an AI specialist and own a patent on smart sms and IVR based on predictive artificial intelligence and owns a small software company www.grapeunicom.com
    Thankyou

Btw m holding my text and waitibg for side menu ti give me select all in browser.. I cant.. please help me with this too..
Ok I got it now 3 attempts

Not at all. I realised that this phone wasn't going to be the finished item when I got it, however, it's guaranteed to be the best phone going. Why? Because there is too much riding on it for BlackBerry to allow it to fail. Looking forward to 10.1 but really happy with my Z10 right now.

So far I'm very satisfied with over all performance of my Z10 OS wise. But the battery is not sustaining my requirements. Plus I'm using the unofficial 10.1 version. Speed dialing just long press the contact and add click the star icon. Lol

I'm in love with my Z10! I have to ask you why you would jump on board with a brand new device/platform and not be ready for small hiccups and bugs? I'm not sure a perfect, flawless launch is even possible. There will always be bugs! There will always be missing features! Things may not be perfect! Keep in mind that there are so many people out there that haven't had a single issue. From what I have seen and what I have experienced, this is a solid device and a solid platform with great potential for an awesome future! Give it time fellow BlackBerry user! Growing pains! Small price to pay!
