One thing I miss about the old BB desktop was the Outlook sync where I could export contacts to Outlook and edit them and sync them back to my BB.
This function is missing from the new BB Link. Just last week BB released an update that allows one-way transfer from Outlook to Z10. Two-way sync will be in a future update, probably in early summer.
SO how do you get your life's work in contacts into a desktop useable manner... I need to find a way to get BB10 contacts from my Z-10 to Windows 8.1 Contacts, or Outlook (too many upgrade paths without total transfer of function).
Are you talking MS Outlook or Outlook.com? I believe Link allows you to sync contacts with MS Outlook on the desktop.
No I mean making a copy of z10 contacts from the main phone contact list TO outlook in win 8.x desktop, or even just another list attached to desktop contacts in Win 8.x...

The thread is OLD. Newer versions of BB Link can sync to Outlook on the desktop although I don't know what versions are supported. But my older Outlook is supported.
I have an outlook.com account that syncs all my life...
Well contacts and my calendar to my z10,iphone4s, playbook, and outlook 2010.
Try that. Works as a backup as well...
It works for me
