If you're having problems getting an update from TIM, try reloading the software through BlackBerry Link without the Sim card inserted (remember to back up your phone first). I'm on Vodafone Italy and was stuck for ages on the same update. This procedure bumped me to. 960 until Vodafone finally pushed the 10.0.10.99 update.

Alternatively, if your phone is unlocked, you could insert a friend's Vodafone Sim card temporarily and it should force the latest update (you can do this over wi-fi so you don't use up your friend's data)
