Great thread! love the pictures. Clearly shows that HDR is great in some but not all instances! outdoors and in brightly lit areas, HDR seems a nice option. Never enjoyed viewing other peoples pictures as much. Thanks all.

HDR looks like its really just changing the FStop really. If that's the case why now allow people to manually set the FStop on their camera's by creating an A mode?
How would that accomplish HDR "in camera"? You'd have no way to combine the separate pictures into one HDR imagine without using a software package on your PC/Mac...

HDR is a great feature once you learn/know when/how to use it

Since it has a toggle to save the original Non-HDR shots, you don't need to know when to use it. Just go back later and flip back and fourth and choose which one you prefer ;)
