Love it- cool and easy. I composed a complex pic with lots of details. Fun. And it works.

Think it may be a bit too accuracy intense. Hard to get the right spot even when you know what it is

The key is to move the screen by selecting another number- so your fingers don't obscure your target !

I think Picture password is the simplified highly secured password! Its so amazing. I hope blackberry patented it. Cant imagine how BlackBerry gets these ideas. Really simple but amazing and 100% effective achieving serious security protection and cool at the same time.

What is that thing? Just kidding but it is missing the alphabetic alternatives. But it is why on a device as advanced as the Z10, if you want to directly enter a phone number, it offers a DIAL pad. I mean, really, a square grid of numbers is a DIAL pad??????????

Somebody should make an ACTUAL DIAL PAD app to replace the current dial pad.. make it DIAL.

Lol.. of course I know it's not allowed to replace the phone app itself with a third party.. just a thought. And I don't think BlackBerry would give the phone's API to devs..

I love picture password. I even set my timeout lower so I can unlock it more often...

I don't think someone can learn your password even if they watch you, unlike the gesture lock that everyone on Android uses.

Has anyone noticed that later at night, the numbers are more widely spaced? Perhaps to help with accuracy when half asleep!

Some noted that the numbers are larger or that the grid changes but I'm not sure that they tied it to time of day. Interesting thought.

Personally I find the randomness of the numbers makes it take longer for me to use Picture Password than the Simple Password. There's no muscle memory. Great for keeping snoopers away, but not so much when every second counts.

I agree. I also don't like that simply lifting your finger off the screen triggers an unlock attempt. I was showing the feature to someone and he moved the grid around a few times and very quickly ran up 5 failed unlock attempts! Had to grab the phone before he accidentally hit 10 and wiped it!

I fear there will be instances of people too easily exceeding the 10 try limit. Maybe it should require a second tap or something to actually trigger an unlock attempt?

Interesting. I find it quicker but the odd time under estimate the travel distance. I tried it because it was novel but now I much prefer it and left it on. I find it much simpler with one hand. Maybe a long hold or someyhing

On my Z10, after 5 failed picture password attempts, i need to type in BlackBerry to continue. Afterwards, i need to enter my word password.

You just have to hope someone doesn't think it is a mere PUZZLE GAME!

But as noted, you only get FIVE picture password attempts and then it defaults back to TEXT entry for the password.
