    I just had a notification that I had an Amazon update on my BB Z10. I clicked on it and and it appeared to install. Shortly there after, my battery became very hot and now my phone is completely useless. I can't launch any app as they immediately crash. The only thing that appears to work is making a phone call.

    amazon app store did all that?
    GO to http://www.amazon.com/getappstore and update the app store.
