Anybody else feel the same way?
BlackBerry has done an amazing job on this phone. Great OS and amazing virtual keyboard. But there's something about the physical keyboard. I dunno.

I agree completely and will be doing the switch.

My reaction. I liked it when I tried but, but need keys.
I planned on switching, but the Z10 has grown on me and will be sticking with it, unless the Q10 comes out with better specs for camera etc, the battery already will be bigger, screen size is half so in theory should last longer.
I went from a Torch 9800 with the slide out keyboard and the touch screen one. On that BlackBerry I used the physical keyboard more mainly due to the smaller screen on the Torch, but on the Z10 I love the touch screen keyboard and find it a joy to use. Can type way quicker on it with the word suggestions than on the Torch's physical keyboard. I wouldn't go back to a physical one now : )

I was lucky to get a Z10 for free and I love it, but my own upgrade will be for a Q10, I never wrote with so many mistakes before.
i was planning to do the same but here is why i dont want to
- Bigger screen
- to get the same experience you need to have a larger screen, for example if skype come's in it will be really pointless to do a video calling
- Screen sharing, how will that look on a smaller screen?
- Tech. and other gadgets are advancing to virtual touch / keyboard so ONE da we will have to use this (I am guessing) For example : Floppy disk to cd drive to usb's
- The complete transformation to this new OS can be experienced well on larger screen.
I personally, hated touch screen but i guess i will keep z10, or may be you never know might go back to Q10.
My typing is much faster now
day 1 there were LOTS of errors and i was like woww i hate virtual keyboard
day 4 - no errors, loved it !
I can only speak for myself but after a week of using the Z10, I am getting better and better with the keyword and with flicking words. I don't miss my 9900's keyboard any more. I don't think that I would give up the larger screen just to get a physical keyboard back.
I think that with another few weeks of using the Z10, I will be as fast or faster than I am on my 9900.

I am sticking with my Z10 as all i have used for the past 3 1/2 years is on board keyboards not a physical keyboard since my bold 9000 abou 4 years ago. I am use to on board on screen keyboards and i must say once your use to it, you will never go back.
My first few days with the Z10 i was making a lot of spelling and typing errors.
It has greatly improved - my only peeve is the send and delete buttons being in such close proximity... often when I go to correct a word I submit the message. Makes me look pretty foolish.

This is strange.
How can mistakes be made given the way the suggestions are placed? I thought it was so predictive and the suggestions were placed in such a way that making mistakes would be almost unheard of.
I have two languages active but the real problem is auto correct not the predictive suggestions.
Regardless, it simply doesn't compare to a real keyboard like the 9900.

Q10 will be only for the die-hards to be honest. I am also a physical keyboard guy but the virtual keyboard on the Z10 is outstanding and if you couple that with the fact that the Z10 will have no more screen real estate at all than the Bold 9900 there is absolutely no way that I am switching to it.
well when your keyboard lover you a keyboard lover.I have used keyboards since I hopped on BB.Im gonna ride out on touchscreen for a while enjoy the new exp.
I really like my Z10 but I will try out the Q10 in April when it comes out. If the screen is big enough I would consider switching...then again I really want a slider with the sleekness (not the buttons) of the Blackberry Balde Concept.
It has Keys already :p
Day 2 for me using the z10. Getting use to the experience. At this very moment I will most likely be buying a Q10. But that could change. I still have a lot of learning to do on this phone.
I'm still am and at how fast I can type o. A virtual key oath since I have never done it before. Way faster on this than my old curve.

Q10 has no track point, so no. Software keyboard is fine, it's the text editing that's **** with a touch screen.

QWERTY > Touch keyboard (even if it's the best in the world)
I agree. Will most likely switch to the q10 for the physical keyboard. Z10 is great but I love having some buttons to push lol.

These are my thoughts exactly. I like the z10 more and more everyday. It's hard to edit as it is on a playbook. It would be pretty hard on a smaller screen. But I have yet to see a z10 in real life yet so I'll see
Came from the 9900, really like the keyboard like all BlackBerry I've own, but I really like the Z10 the virtual keyboard is great and better than my previous sgs3 and iphone 5. Bigger screen, and the BB10 OS is optimized for a full touchscreen device IMO. I'll keep it :)

Serious serious qwerty keyboard withdrawal right now

AMEN BROTHER!!! Great phone but want the keyboard....if we're getting greedy I'd like my back button back. I can sacrifice some screen space to type like a rock star again and let the Iphone guys send out those butchered texts and e-mails.
agreed.
'm loving the z10 but i have found it to be frustrating in two circumstances: while driving and while drinking (not together). However I should probably stay off the phone in both circumstances anyways so it might actually be a blessing in disguise. lol!
