There is no games app in 10.3.

The Scoreloop service was shut down last December.

I know in some earlier leaks, the Games icon would be removed. However despite having updated to the official build today, the icon is still there, and the service was shut down a while ago... more then useless now that 10.3 is officially around. Anyone else still has the icon on their phone?

It's possible that an OTA update from 10.2 that still had the Games icon would retain it after the update.

I don't think anything would get deleted with such an update. Only newer files would overwrite older files.

A lot of the 10.3 leaks were available as autoloaders which wipes the phone's previous OS, so you end up with a fresh OS install. That's when we discovered that the Games app was removed.

You can open Device Monitor and find the app (Storage can be easiest). Press/hold on the app and choose Delete.

It's a core app, so it's not that easy and this method doesn't work unfortunately.

You can try using Sachesi V2. It can sometimes allow you to delete files on the phone. You would need to know what the file is called. And be CAREFUL, You do not want to delete the wrong files.

Or you can create a folder and put that icon inside a junk folder.

This isn't due to 10.3.1, but due to score loop closing down

Again, if you updated OTA, that only updates and adds to your phone.

It doesn't remove anything. That's why the icon is still there.

Most of the leaks were autoloaders that wipes the phone totally and then installs the OS from scratch.

For those who received 10.3.1 through their carrier over an existing 10.2.1 OS, the only way to get a clean install may be to use the "Factory Reset" option in Link. Assuming you don't want to use one of the available autoloaders elsewhere on this forum.

That will wipe the phone and put your carrier's latest OS back on the phone. Of course, you'll have to reset everything back up on your phone afterward. You could do a backup, and then restore only the apps you want - just don't re-select "BlackBerry Runtime" and "Games" (if it shows up).
