Hi guys ... I'm on a Z10 Verizon (10.0.9.xx) and I was having strange e-mail issues with my ActiveSync account and I wanted to delete it and re-do it.
I deleted the account like normal. It cleared out the account everywhere EXCEPT the blackberry hub section. It allows me to click on the account and I still see the old e-mails. When I click on them however, it says "Message not able to be displayed." I can't find anywhere to delete this account? I tried rebooting twice and a battery pull. No luck!
Any ideas? I re-added another account now using our BES10 and it works fine. Just annoying that it is showing two accounts instead of 1!
Looks like this is an issue... hoping to resolve it though. Also, swiping diagonally from the top right does restart HUB, but does not remove these rogue e-mail accounts.
Can't seem to get an answer so... if I do a backup/restore.. will it restore my BES10 connection and e-mail syncing w/ contacts & calendar? Seems the only work around right now is a security wipe.
I have the exact same problem with my Rogers Z10 (10.0.10.85).
Setup my work account (Exchange 2003, ActiveSync) and everything works fine. If the battery dies, I reboot the phone or do a battery pull the account configuration disappears but the account and e-mails are still listed in the HUB but inaccessible.
I can then re-add the account and it works until another reboot, battery pull or battery discharge. After re-adding the account I end up with two work accounts and only one of them working.
I just contacted Rogers and got a ticket number with them. I am being escalated to which ever techs can contact RIM directly and should hear back on Monday. Will keep you guys posted.
So through some trial and error I might have figured out how to make Exchange 2003 ActiveSync accounts survive reboots.
Disabling syncing of Memo's and Tasks. They don't work anyway (already submitted that bug report to).
Once done try rebooting your device. I rebooted mine multiple times and my Exchange account stayed. When i re-enabled those two settings and rebooted it again the account disappeared.

Interesting .. the problem I am having though is that an account I deleted is NOT removed from the hub. It just sits in limbo. No messages are able to be read etc. The account is not listed in ANY of my account settings or addresses. It just sits there in the HUB only. It obviously is a graphical bug. Problem is I am still on the original OS that Verizon refuses to update. I;m hoping an update wipes it out, but I am not holding my breath.
