I have read a few posts here that state you need to use the cord/charger that comes with the Z10 or the phone won't charge properly and/or may lose its charge if you use an old charger. But if you go to CrackBerry shops and if you order a new plug for the Z10 it is the same make and model number as the charger that you would order on CrackBerry for the Curve. So can anyone tell me why u can't use an old charger for the Z10??

I read somewhere that any charger that provides at least 750ma at The terminal will work.

I'm using my old 9700s charger for the past week with no issues.

PlayBook cord is the best

playbook cord puts out the most juice at 1.5A, the z10 puts out 750mA including 9900/9860/9810 generation phone chargers. the older generation plugs with cord attached put out700 or less.

basically if you are using your pb or z10 aggressively the charge rate on old chargers may not keep up to the demand for power, thus still draining the battery
