I have been complaining about Data use since I got this phone. However, since all the fixes, it has really been my only complaint. I just do not understand how I used 3156gb of Data in 23 days. G.ranted, I stream a lot of videos, and go to a lot of picture sites, but these same activities used to never crack 800mb a month on my 9300 curve.

I am going to upgrade to the top plan with unlimited Data because I am paying that much in overages already. But I still do not see where this data is coming from. Even with the Guru. I always have Wifi on at home and work.
You are probably streaming the HD versions of the videos since the Z10 can handle it. I doubt that the 9300 can do that.

I use Instagram, twitter, fb, etc, and I use about 15 mb a day... I'm really curious how some people are getting 100+ mb. I'm on telus 4GLTE, everything is on auto sync. I get a ****load of FB notices and BBM notices, but that still doesn't take much at all. It does take a bit more than the old BIS, which I usually have 150 mb a month. Now it's closer to 500. But still, the 500 I use now includes quick BBM video, surfing youtube, etc

Do you use box to sync photos and videos? I've found on my z10 that even though cellular network is set on "Off" it will still upload photos using my data.

Doesn't T mobile have the worst service area in the United States? That's probably why their still offering unlimited.

If they do, I havent noticed. I'm still waiting for LTE to be switched on where I'm at, but other than that the only places I can recall having even spotty service is the basement of a local mall, and this very strange 10' circle in my backyard O.O

Even when I had my old 9780, I could pull pics off the internet faster than a sprint hd7 or an iphone on att.

If so this is something BB should fix.
One of my phones is an HP Pre 3. When in wifi it automatically switches off 3G. If something goes wrong with the wifi connection (it's connected but there is no data) it is then obvious what the cause is, and manually switching to 3G or restarting wifi will fix it. Because of the 3G turnoff, battery life when at home or in the office is excellent ( 2 days plus).
Auto turning off 3G in a wifi area should be an option.

Can't the mods do something about idiotic posts like this?

    Sheesh.

To the OP, yes, others here have had the random multi-email blast happen to them. Good luck getting that sorted. Once that's done, you'll just have to adapt. Most of these people who say they use 250 MB a month aren't using the phone for anything but texts and phone calls.

My wife has the Note 2 and I have the Z10 on Verizon.. I noticed we have been burning up data up.. We have a 4GB plan that is set to renew on the 21st and we have eaten up 2.8 gbs so far...I have downloaded a lot of apps and what not, but I'm mainly on wifi.. I'm still getting use to this data adjustment as well. I think it has to do with 4G LTE connection. When I was on 3G we didn't eat up this much data. We barely made it to 2GB's on 3G connection.

There's a thread here asking Kevin (founder of CB) whether he's having any of the issues we're seeing in the threads. He explicitly states that there is a correlation between running on LTE and high data usage, no matter what you're actually downloading. He also says that in NYC (and presumably in other dense metropoli) the process of continually switching between cell towers causes usage problems.

There is definitely a data consumption problem with some handsets. The quicker the Crackberry massive appreciate that and help bring it to BB's attention, the quicker we will stop complaining and clogging up the forum.

Therefore, even if you are not experiencing the problem, it is in your best interest to help the issue get resolved and our voices to go away because there is a large enough amount of people complaining to warrant fixing it fast.

I'd received emails and text from Verizon that I was at 50%,75%,90% of my allotment of data. I called to change my plan and was told my actual use was only slightly above 50%. A call to the #data number inmy contacts, which results in a text with the usage info, confirmed the lower %.

Sorry if I'm repeating something that's already been said, but I really can't be bothered to scroll through 4 pages of posts to check

650MB is nothing and unfortunately it's something you're going to have to get used to unless you go back to a legacy phone. Any smart phone that's out there will use more or less the same amount of data. I ran an S3 and an iPhone4S about 6 months ago while my company was contemplating BYOD and data was running way beyond that per week, especially with the S3. Any smart phone that's out there, with the exception of the legacy BBs, will give you similar results run the same way.

As to the email issue, I've never read of anyone else with a similar problem. We currently have 66 Z10s in service and as far as I know no one in my organisation has reported such an issue.
