I can't use alarm unless device is charging. Since latest update, my battery drains in two hours if in use. Not gaming either. Some CB10 and browsing. I wish apps like FB, file picker etc... wouldn't run in background after I close them. no room for headless apps on Z10 due to poor battery life.

Charge your phone to 100%. Delete any and all accounts. Re add them one by one. Set them to sync at 24 hrs.

This will reset the graph for how long of a charge you have left. I can get 23 hours or more out of my Z10 now.

    Get back to me...

Thanks. Will try this once I am home. When you say all accounts, does this include Facebook, LinkedIn, twitter, etc as well or only email accounts?

8 hours? Seems normal to me, lol. I get 6-8 hours with power use, 8+ with medium use and 12-24 with light use.

If you are using your phone a lot, yes, 8 hours is normal.

This is since I updated to the latest leak. So no, I would say that is not normal unless you just updated and everything is syncing. I'm looking to average 12 hours on a light day

That is quite normal Z performance. If you wish to improve it a bit, you can tackle the heavy drainers display and PIM.

Display: go easy on the brightness! Disable swipe to unlock.

PIM: what was said before (adjust sync interval on your accounts) and don't activate accounts you won't use.

Other than that, only laying down the Z will help your battery stay alive. 8 hours is rather normal on heavy use with multiple accounts and brightness 100%!

I am tempted to drop my Z10 and get Z30. I am more perfectly happy with my Z10 except the battery life.

    What was your usage like..?

I don't get why people post questions like this without mentioning how much they use/used the phone. That's the number one question/factor. Like common sense people.

Medium usage. Few emails, a few short BBM chats. That's it. Would not have posted the question if I was using the phone extensively for 4 hours and see a drop like the one I mentioned.

You can see usage in the graph. Fairly flat line = idle to very light use, a nice decline is medium usage.

The z10 does have a weak battery. I read that the battery drains quickly when you update the OS.
