Both are great phones but here are my reasons why I stuck with the Z10
1. Better design- bezel, buttons, more stealth looking in all black, lighter more compact. Z30 looks generic.
2. Brighter and sharper screen
3. Back cover of the Z10 feels better than the weave design of Z30
4. Removable battery
5. About $200 cheaper for basically the same OS, performance and specs
Okay, here's why I prefer the z30 over z10(using your reasons):D
1. All true but the white z30 looks perfect the way it is.
2. z30 better is dark places even with the lowest brightness level set(not only in the night)
3. The white z30 back cover might not be that good but the black cover is perfect. Looks just like the 9900/9930
4. Better battery life
5. Not true anymore. Someone just posted in a thread that he bought the z30 for $226(icluding taxes)
I think I'll get the Z30 over the passport because of the both of you. Haha! Z10 for calls and texting, Z30 for everything else.

Only reason I'd get a Z30 at this point, is if I see the Passport up close and in person and it ends up being absolutely hilarious.
Then I'll buy a Z30 to tie me over until BlackBerry either makes a new all touch screen phone or listens to the cries of Z10 owners like myself, who want to see a version 2 with upgraded specs.

They are both great phones; but, I would choose the Z30. OP You have some great points about the Z10- especially about the back cover of the Z10- I love that feel over the Z30's back cover. The screen is brighter than the Z30- but I am running the 10.3/296 leaked OS and they made some adjustment to the resolution and now it is a little better. The battery on the Z30 is much better than Z10- the Z10 does not have FM radio, which I happen to love on the Z30. The larger screen... Again not much of a difference but the Z30 wins it for me. I have checked the Z30 out and stayed with my Z10 for many of the reasons that you have stated OP. Very happy with my baby :-).
