May very well be the greatest investment I've ever made! Unlike others that received poor results and performance after purchasing a 4500 mAh Battery for their z10's, I've had the greatest experience with my z10 post purchasing my battery off Amazon.

My Z10 has completely evolved into an utter MONSTER with a battery life lasting close to 3-4 days while using every interface my Z10 offers (ie. Browser, Apps, Phone Calls, Messaging, Video Conferencing, Downloading...) I am just at an awe at how great my experience with my Z10 nowadays.

Sounds too good to be true my Z30 last for a good day which means it's lasts for more but I will need to charge on the morning / noon of the secound day in case I forgot

I had very good performance with mine as well. It was great to last over a full day with heavy heavy usage.

However, two very big issues for me forced me to switch to the battery bundle.

1. The phone doesn't recognize the large capacity battery. The battery percentage goes down normally and when it gets to 10% I can restart my phone and the battery percentage goes up to around 30%. Then when it runs down to 10% again, a reboot will send it back up to around 20-25%. I end up getting lots of life out of the battery, it's just a little annoying. I could have lived with this as it didn't bother me too much but problem #2 was the last straw for me.


2. The extra thick battery comes with its own back cover which is plastic and very slick. The thick battery is too thick to use a protective case with it and it's obviously dangerous to use the phone without a case. After two weeks of careful use, I dropped it and chipped my phone in three places.

It was at this time that I got my free battery bundle from BlackBerry so I made the switch and the 4500 has been sitting ever since. I could still use it sometime I'm going to be away from a charger for a few days(camping, fishing etc..) so it's nice to know I can last that long of I really need to.

Love the battery too (although I don't get 3-4 days out of it). One thing I'd like to have back is NFC. Anyone heard of a workaround or a way to hack back in a working antenna?

I've tried for the life of me to empty out this battery in a 12-15 hour day with heavy use and the fuyer just won't die. I've gone as far as just letting it play YouTube videos for hours straight after I get home and the fuyer just keeps asking for more.

I like the battery life, but already got a dent from dropping it because no case can fit the darn thing. I ordered the KIMPS 2300 mAh one so I can use a case aging but with a higher capacity battery.
Also it's very hard to figure out how much battery life is left, like a guessing game of should I charge or is there 40% more juice left in the darn thing.

Maybe I'm just lucky but I find the battery reading to be pretty accurate (unless I reboot, when it drops rapidly).

Well, I am going to pull the trigger on the Z30. Will do some tests against the Z10 with the 4500mah and let you guys know.

Just a minor update: Stayed and kept watch over my friends family's house out in the middle of nowhere for about a month. More than a few times there are power outages and I'm stuck with only my phone as means of communication and actually a source of light (stock flashlight option) and let me tell yall...thank goodness my z10 is on god-mode because I'd be screwed more than a few days without communication and something to keep me occupied.


My z10 goes about 3-4 1/2 Days without charge and with full use. Like I've said before and I'll say it again, bestestestestest financial purchase I've made!
