Just updated to. 4181 and the hub is now separated between work and personal. I will only be notified of a BBM or text if I am in my personal space and won't get work email notifications unless I am in that work space. Anyone else have an issue with this. Hub was working great in previous versions.

Not only this but the .4181 seems to be very slow when switching between the personal and work hubs. Personally having the two separated seems to be a step backwards -- was better to just have all mail aggregated in a single hub so I have the option of what I want to view. There should be an option to separate the hubs if the user wants to work that way.

Yes, this is awkward. It is assumed that sms and BBM are never used for work. There needs to be customization options. Or at the very least notification of new bbm and sms when in the work hub.

It is like they have created 2 hubs. One for work and one for personal, which really defeats the purpose of having a hub where all message /notifications come into.

That's why I was thinking. I know at work we now have two inboxes to keep company email from mixing with "other" email.

Here is the pic. In previous versions of OS everything would show up in one. There was no selecting back and forth. I get that you might want these separated. But you at the very least need to be able to be notified when there are messages in the space you are not actively in.

The new hub is a big step backwards for sure. they could have made this an option on the device. The data is still "firewalled" like it was before but now it makes some work functions difficult for sure. The whole point of a smartphone is to make things easier. I hope they fix this or at least make it an option to merge the new hubs back into one. I cannot for the life of me understand why they would force this change on a user especially when the hub format wasn't broken to start with.

Just took a look at the new BES 10.1.1 and found a switch to turn off the dual hub functionality. Will be testing it out shortly to see if my BlackBerry reverts back. Interesting to note that that the default is only a single hub. My BlackBerry is connected to the older 10.0 release which defaults to two different hubs...

Yes it can be adjusted in BED. My administrator resolved the issue and my hub is back to the way it was

So this wasn't a bug at all, but simply misconfiguration of new functionality introduced in this release.

That is good to hear. What is BED? I just want to be clear before I talk to the admin

Is there any way to correct this without having the system administrator flip a switch? They are trying to tell me that there is nothing they can do to change this, it is just past of the software update. This sucks! I don't receive any txt or bbm's from work collueges when I am in work mode!

How do you turn off the dual hub? I want my work email and personal (texts/bbm.etc) to be viewed in one hub.
Can anyone please help? Thank you.

From what I've read so far it seems the system admin of your bes server has make the change.

Actually, BBM is used a lot at my workplace. Quick like an SMS, but with delivered and receipt flags so you know when the other person had read it or not.

I had the same problem, turns out it was something I did. If you go to Hub settings -> "Display and Actions". turn off "Split Work and Personal Accounts". After I turned this off, all is back to normal and I am happy again
