After installing Leaked OS 10.2.1.1925 last night for my Z10 STL 100-2, I have been trying to optimize battery life as much as i can. This is a 4 hour graph screenshot when the phone has been mostly in idle mode (I took 1 pic and replied to 1 whatsapp). After 4 hours I am left at 80%. Is this about average for the rest of you guys? I think its consuming way too much and i should mention that i already turned off lots of features to preserve the battery, including turning off push email, instead syncing every hour. I would love to see some other screenshots of other users to compare. Please include OS version and Z10 model. Thanks guys.

If it's too much of a problem, try getting a z30 or get a spare battery or the 4500 mah battery

4 hours past, estimated 20+ remaining. What exactly is the problem here? 24 hours standy by time seems more than reasonable to me, right..?
Even if 4 hours = 20%, that still adds up to 20 hours standby time.

Edit: this rivals my Q10 at idle, and that has a better battery to begin with.

Its not too much of a problem..but i feel like...i didnt get the z10 so i could just watch it on idle..I feel if i do something for maybe 20 minutes on the phone I wont have enough juice left for later..I might just get another battery then.

If I understand correctly, you installed the leaked OS last night only and the graph is soon after the installation. As it is, give it 24 - 48 hours of time for the OS to settle down and you should see improved levels of battery

Because every new OS needs to go through indexing the device and what not when using applications.

That being said, the Z10 battery is just bad period so it's not just you. The most you can get with it, with push emails and other standard features is around 4-6 hours.

Well, as far as the specific time periods you want to know your battery would work, it's certainly how much you use the phone and for what. I'm a heavy user and get around 7 hours, with moderate use I have even went on for around 10 to 12 hours. But if I play games, I may end it up within 2.5 hours. People have reported 16 hours with moderate use.

But it's true that Z10 Battery is on a lower side compared to other BlackBerry 10 devices. I bought the Z10 Battery bundle charger and I'm never out of battery now.

    Sorry for bad English

Well being idle for 4 hours I think it's to much.

If I don't plug my phone in overnight It does not discharge anywhere near 20% ( it is in bedside mode, so that may make a difference)

I've used my Z10 quite a bit today and I'm down to 71%. I can easily use it moderately until I charge it overnight.

Yikes, my Z10 loses about 1-3% an hour idle. Not that much better than yours but 20% in 4 hours of nothing is ridiculous even for the small battery. Maybe it's the leaked OS/radio?

Bigger battery kinda solves problem BUT... I think BB should implement something like Androids Deep Sleep.

With this feature my Nexus 7 consumes about 1-3% per 24 hours on idle compare to 19-28% on my Q10 in Bedside mode for 10 hours.

    Exactly.
I left my nexus 7 on 67%, all night, and it was like 66% in the morning
They need to do that with BlackBerry 10
