    1. Does using the mapping and gps feature use up data bandwidth?

    2. Can I use my data anywhere in Canada and not be billed extra? I understand there is long distance phone charges if im not of my normal area. Does that apply to data usage as well? Im with Rogers.

You can use data anywhere as long as you are connected to a rogers network. Otherwise you will be roaming and be charged the extra fees.

    Yes, Maps uses data.

And as long as you're connected to a Rogers signal, you will not be charged for roaming.

If you get Mireo, you can download the map files to your phone when you are on wi-fi (the North America map is about 2GB), and from then on that app will not need or use data. It's a handy app to have, in case you end up somewhere with no or poor coverage. Well worth the price, in my opinion.

Yes data is used when using maps.

Not 100% sure about data charges for Canada wide usage. Depending on your plan, calling CAN be done without long distance charges outside your area if you have a Canada wide long distance plan.

You should confirm details with Rogers to make sure what the details of your current plan are.
