Anyone noticed when you hit the reboot button the phone never reboots but simply turns off? That restart option is useless since it simply powers the phone off.

And after leaving a Wifi area my BlackBerry becomes useless unless I restart or turn my connections off and then back on. Which is out of control. Too much time wasted. Here's a picture. Browser stays with loading bar stuck in same spot. It's honestly quite annoying

My phone has none of those issues. I'm on 10.1.

Oh and along with the service issue comes texts that won't send. I have perfect service but all my texts are sitting here with spinning clocks. The good ol BlackBerry feature. And I didn't even realize none of my texts sent since it doesn't show you anything from message screen. If I didn't click on text I would never know it didn't send

Try doing a battery pull (or real reset-- by holding down the lock button for 10 seconds or so). If that doesn't work then try a fresh OS install. Obviously your specific device is malfunctioning at the moment, it happens, it's technology.

Fortunately it does not appear that any of the issues you describe are common or widespread with BB10.

I had this bug of restart / turn off at the beginning but after an update it worked properly.

I'm running Z10STL100-4/10.1.0.1756. I've had this specific device since US launch day. I've been iffy about getting a refurbished model. Oh and that reset by holding the power button doesn't work either. It simply turns off and nothing happens. I held it for over 60 seconds just to make sure.

    You've had 10.1 since launch on a 100/4. That's VZW, right .

If pressing and holding the power for > 10 seconds doesn't trigger a reset, then you have faulty hardware on your device.

    Return it for a replacement.

In order to reboot, you need to hold the button for a longer amount of time then just the 3 second it counts down (that is only to power it off). To reboot, keep holding the button for about 30 seconds ignoring what is happening on the screen. This should work.
