As the title states, to those who have used the 1926 version while running leaks, versus the official (1899). What differences have you noticed? Which to you was better overall? What did one offer over the other?
Hi

I have significantly better reception with everything (phone, wireless, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth) with the 1926 radio on my Z30 than I had with 1899.
1056 radio that came with 1055 was great for me too. 1899 was the only lackluster radio file I've had on my Z30.
I have a Z30 on Telus in Vancouver, BC, Canada, btw.
I have a Q10 with Verizon in New York and the 1926 really improved the internet speed thru mobile network, WiFi, call quality and battery life.

Makes me wonder why Verizon, who is supposedly supposed to be the best network did not release with 1926 then. Why go second best, or have a radio file that is lackluster in comparison if everyone, or a lot of people have stated that 1926 was clearly better. Ive been running this since last Friday with sub par battery life, dropped calls, loss of signal in areas where I used to have excellent signal strength.
It's like they always do the opposite of what everyone thinks they are going to do.
Is there any method of just getting the 1926 radio file, if I am a mac user and installing that one to compare, or would Verizon possibly update to 1926?
Thank you to anyone who replies to this
So, I'm not sure. How does this update affect Z10 users. Do we have FM radio?

Nope.
Never will. Hardware restraints.
The radio file that I am referring to has nothing to do with FM radio. It is something that improves call quality, signal strength (which mine has taken a turn for the worse) since receiving the update from Verizon last Friday.
It's very erratic an unstable in areas which it used to work in
I don't think it was just Verizon, but all the carriers that went with 1899. I too am curious why they went with it instead of 1926 If it is better. I had 1926 with the leak and 1899 with the release and don't notice any real difference yet. But why would they go with a lower spec radio if that is actually the case?

So far, from what I have been reading, there are some people that are commenting on the same issue, saying it is causing problems, as it is for me
I've only used the 1926 radio and haven't had any issues. I'm curious if the 1899 radio would be better.
I've had both on my Z10 with 1925 and I my self found 1926 to have too much battery drain when Wifi is enabled (connected or not). With 1899, isnt nearly as bad as 1926. Thats me though.
Ditto. It appears that Q5, Q10, Z10, and Z30 were certified with Software Release Version: 10.2.1.537 (OS Version: 10.2.1.1925 Radio Version: 10.2.1.1899) and Software Release Version: 10.2.1.506 (OS Version: 10.2.1.1898 Radio Version: 10.2.1.1899) early in January 2014 . . . please refer to http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...matter-897403/
From my experience, I've found that the 1926 Radio was better but it affected the battery life of my Q10.
The 1899 Radio isn't that bad and with it the battery life on my Q10 is better!

I had 1926 on my Q and I couldn't get 4G LTE in certain places I could beforehand. It was kinda frustrating to be honest. I didn't like the sudden drop to 3G in places I knew I shouldn't be seeing it. With the official release I have access to 4G LTE no matter where I am on my Z10 so I'd say the official is a little more stable.

So, I have had the exact opposite on MY Z10. I can't get 4g LTE at all with the 1899 radio, yet had no problems with the radio that came with the 1925 OS leak. (i don't know if it was 1259 or 1056 version radio before) Can some one help here? I want to get back my 4g LTE becuase i tend to use my phone as a hotspot, and 3g is just too slow. Should I install the 1926 radio?
On VZW here, no problems at all connecting to 4G, running official 1925 (537) with 1899 Radio.
Does me no good to update to 1926 Radio, as soon as I do, I get update notice from VZW,
which converts back to 1899. So I just leave it alone for now.
Side note, quite sure 1899 Radio came with 1925 leak, been a bit weird to release with
such an old Radio as 1259 or 1056 (which came with 1055 leak). HTH.
I am experiencing some bad signal issues with .1899 radio.
I am using the Z10 on the WIND mobile network. There's an obvious difference between that and the one on 10.2. Due to the signal issues (cell and wifi), battery has been really bad.
I have a Z10 on the AT&T network.
I found no difference in call quality, cell reception (in LTE coverage all the time) or Wi-Fi reception. Either radio file did equally fine for me.
Where I did notice a difference was battery usage in stand-by. And by that, I mean the phone just sitting there, auto locked after the 2-minute timeout, not being used but full cell/wi-fi connection with the occasional email notification ding coming through over my EAS and IMAP accounts.
With the 1899 radio, my battery would have a constant, but relatively slow drain all day long. Maybe I'd get 10 hours out of it with occasional email checking, Web browsing, and CB10 app checking. If I played a graphic intensive game, the battery would drain a lot faster - of course. If I used the CB10 app a lot, it was a pretty big drain on the battery too.
I've had this kind of battery experience ever since I got the phone through various different OS releases - official and leaked. I never experienced any drastic difference with any OS build I tried, from the official 10.1 from AT&T, to the leaked 4xxx MR, to the leaked 10.2, to the leaked 10.2.1.1055 and now 1925.
With the 1926 radio, app usage would drain the battery about as much as before, but just sitting there unused was a very different story. If I left the phone alone for any length of time, it would just sip the battery. Checking the app manager, the graph was almost a flat line, and it would tell me I had 2 days left on this charge. But then, using an app for a while and checking the app manager again, it would be back to a more drastic slope and saying I had 7 hours or less depending on how drained I would be at the time.
I'm not running any of the new headless apps yet, so I don't know how much they may affect things, but 1926 has definitely been better with the phone just sitting there.

I think for the system I have a very high memory usages. At least it sounds very high to me. Almost always sits around 280MB. I am sure that is more then likely causing my lag. I did the security wipe last night and the lag is still there. Going to back up and do a reinstall of the O/S tonight. IF that does not work, I am not sure how I will proceed. I do think it is my O/S because after my wipe, none of my apps were installed and it lagged in the exact same places as it did before the wipe, so the O/S must be the culprit
