    Hi Guys,

If you see check Z10's battery life in Blackberry's website it says,

    Battery Life
Up to 10 hours talk time (3G)
    Up to 11.8 (3G), 12.7 (2G) days of standby
*Note: Battery life claims are for Model STL100-2

What does it mean? 12.7 days standby time without answering calls or browsing, checking emails. Does it mean that the battery will last for 12.7 days even if the phone on but not used?

I lose 10% battery level every 3 hours even if I do not use my phone (OS ver 10.32).

    Thank you.

Got me? Even since my StarTac days the standby time has always been out to lunch.

Standby means just that - put the phone into its holster, lock or lock it and it goes into standby.

I would assume that standby time is measured without background synchronisation of emails or other services.

They might mean if the phone is in airplane mode and not used at all.

What part of 2G and 3G did you not read .
Not used at all would confirm to standby, however the connections would be on given the description.

I use my 9860 on wifi only now that it doesn't have a sim card. It lasts about 4-5 days without the cellular radio off.

The radio takes up the most juice!

    Question I have is:
    LTE 4G high
    Hspa normal 4G
    Umts 3G
    Gsm 2G

    ????

Thanks guys. I assume radio takes a lot of juice like others said. Maybe I should try switching off the radios.

3g does, gsm or edge should not use a lot of power.

the thing is that 2g is more than enough for everyday usage. It is very nice to showoff but 3 and 4g are needed only for specific tasks such us surfing the web etc. All other tasks can be done with the phone locked in 2g. Especially if you have the phone limited to 2g (not auto searching for 3g etc) then you save battery. I will try it when my Zee arrives an will let you know.
