nuangel2 - thanks for responding, not sure if you know because you have a Z10, does the same radio work on the Q10?

MADBRADNYC - my response was not to you, it was to Jaws48 who said to chill, that to me meant don't bother looking for an answer, wait for T-Mobile to release it.

How am I doing it wrong?? Forget the leaks, I use a Mac and the process does not work on a Mac. I can root, flash ROM's on any Android and/or Apple device using my Mac and VMware with Windows 7 and it works perfectly, but not a Blackberry????WTF. So I am stuck until they release 10.2 here in the USA, so until then, I am on my iPhone 5 with BBM.
How is BBM on iPhone5 working out for you? I want recommend it to my brother in law.

READ MY POST!!! I use a Mac's in my business and the autoloader function to install the leaks will not work on a Mac.
    Hi,
I do not use Apple products, but I believe you can install an update using BootCamp or Parallels.
I believe I've seen reports that BootCamp works the best though.
Since I don't use a Mac I cannot convey the process to you.
Try searching the forums about the topic and I'm sure tons of threads will show up for you.

BBM works like a champ on the iPhone 5, I just went out a bought a used unlocked z10 with the 10.2 leak installed on it because I wanted to try out 10.2.

I would strongly recommend putting BBM on your brother in laws iPhone 5, he will love it.

Sorry to say the 811 radio does NOT work on the Q10 - many have tried (including myself) and no go. As far as I know there is no combination of 10.2.xxxx and radio file that enables wifi calling on a Q10. You may want to consider the latest 10.2 leak , i.e, 10.2.1083. I figured I would take a chance and load it and even though there's no WiFi calling, the radio (1804) seems strong enough that I get a few bars at my house whereas formerly I only got one bar at most. I can at least make calls and get texts (and of course data over WiFi and the WiFi signal has also improved. A few others have reported similar improvements in the 1803 thread.

The RF improvements in 1083 are VERY significant. I don't know what BlackBerry did in the radio code, but something in the chipset's algorithms was altered in that release and it has had a significant and very positive impact on RF performance.

The Z10 and Q10 were no slouches to begin with -- it already outperformed a couple of my benchmark older devices, and while not up to the level of my old Nokia 3395 (the all-time winner in terms of GSM handsets and signal-holding) it was in the same class as some of the early HTC devices, which had really awesome RF.

1083 may surpass them -- I have to go back and re-run my full battery of tests (I have an extremely challenging RF environment near my home as a consequence of Air Force bases and known bad coverage areas) -- but just on an anecdotal basis the improvements were immediately noticeable.

Thanks for your reply and letting me know. It's been frustrating trying to get the new OS and Wi-Fi calling. Just wish T-Mobile would go ahead and release it already.

I asked in the new 10.2.1.1055 thread if anyone has had any luck with the new radio and wi-fi calling. If I hear a positive response, I'll let you know.

We're all in the same boat...
No one knows when T-Mobile will push out an update.

Just curious... Why are you asking others what you should do with your own device?
    I don't understand. I mean, it's your personal property isn't it?

Of course. In the end it is just my decision. I just wanted to know what someone who might have been in the same boat as me before installing the link think.

Hmm. I've seen tons of existing threads asking the same question and great responses to it.
Have you tried a forums search?

Yeah. Sounds about right. Some like to load leaks, others don't.
I just didn't think you would find any different answers in this thread than elsewhere.

    Whatever you decide, Good Luck!

If you have the possibility to do it and you want too do it. I recommend it. With 10.2.1 I close my app gap that was killing me I installed Snap, 1mobile and Amazon app store. Anything that is not on BlackBerry World is in one of android markets.
