To any of the 10.2 users out there, is there a way you can tell if it supports headless apps? Specifically I'm hoping for a future call blocker app.

    Thanks.

nothing yet. these apps have to be approved by BB first also. It will take some time for them to popup

I'm sure that there is an answer somewhere but.... Do developers absolutely need BB or can they develop them and allow them to be sideloaded? Or is there something integral to the coding that requires BB's "assistance?"

I guess like some others, I find it odd that this OS is so much more locked down then the prior BBOS's. I don't always want those "large" frames on the home screen and would love some icons like I had on os5, 6 and 7 that showed battery %, weather, temperature, signal strength, etc.

well i am guess sideloading still works but BB will probably start patching this if people are going to start offering apps outside the market and such.

Well, they should, if they still intend to be a #1 secured phone. I hope there will be an app/process manager soon after headless app come. Or is there a built in app to do this in 10.2?

Headless app is somekind of dangerous if you don't pay attention to app's permissions, and that if you know (and can imagine) what the permissions are used for.
