Is this device monitor with Battery status only on a leaked version/10.2 MR or does anybody have this with the official 10.2.0.424.
    Just wondering.

    Regards Johnny

I ordered the Mugen 3800mAh battery and couldn't be happier. It adds a bit of 'heft' to your Z10 but works a charm, imo.

Do you carry it in your pocket all the time? I'm a holster guy and it's been difficult to find one for it. I'm thinking of selling mine (just a few weeks old) not because of performance, which is excellent , but because it changes the overall feel of the phone too much for me. I love Mungen products. Great quality!

Nice catch. I didn't understand how two similar sized batteries could have such a difference in mah ratings. I know of know variants on LiPo batteries which could allow for more electron to be packed into the same size cell.

I didn't know myself until I was hunting around for a bigger battery and a number of forums here mentioned that as being a fake, whereas the 4500 I ordered is the size of Texas but all the reviews are very positive

I think holsters are more for q10 than z10. Z10 is more cover style.

Att=delayed roll out. They determine what gets released.

I just updated to 10.2 by using sachesi to grab the update from Rogers (I'm on sprint), and immediately put 3 hours of heavy use on the device right after the update completed. I burned through about 40% of my battery during that time, so a full charge would probably net me 6 to 7 hours of heavy use. More than I can say for many Android devices.

You are lucky. I usually have to plug it in at least 3 times.

It's been 3 hrs since iv unplugged my cell from the charger and I'm at 50%. No joke!

Some calls some forums surfing and very few messages.

    Cheers!

If you're charging 3 times a day something is wrong with your phone... or your battery or you charger.

I agree. Either that or you are on it non-stop and I mean hours at a time.

I think very heavy users will not make it through a day still but one spare battery or charge should do it easily.

My z10 battery life is so so. I'm down to 50% at 11:15 from 6:30 am. Usually dead by 3:00pm. That's if I'm really not using much of anything. My normal use is generally some Web browsing (all 2mb max mobile html sites), Crackberry sometimes, and maybe the accuweather app. With that I'll have 45% by 11:15. Maybe in just not realizing that's normal? Ordered a 4500 mah battery anyhow...

Can u update us the 4500 mah performance after you get it?

I had excellent battery with 10.1. After a full day, I was down to 90% and I would charge it when I went to sleep. Now I'm lucky to make it through the day and have to charge it to use it past 8pm. Not very happy. My old BB Bold 9000 could go 2-3 days without a charge.

Remember your 9000 had a 480x320 224 ppi screen vs 1080x765 363ppi and a 624mhz processor vs 1500mhz and 2gb of ram and 3g vs 4g+lte. Remember that more power means it uses much more power.

Also I noticed one of the big battery hogger is weak provider signals. Eg. During weekend when I hardly touch my phone at home with good signals it will last 14 hours. Maybe call 5 x. Some bbm and email.

When I am working and on the move . 3 x charging daily is common

Same here. When I stay put during the day, I don't need to charge more than once. But when I'm on the move, I sometimes need to charge 2x in a day or leave it in either 3G and 2G only or just 3G

I can endorse that. I am sort of heavy user in LTE network. Before 10.2, I typically use 3 charges a day. After 10.2, I am now down to 2 charges with quite a lot to spare on the 2nd charge. The phone is also a lot cooler to the touch when I use it. It did take 10.2 to settle in though. The two days immediately after upgrading was like daylight murder of battery.

[Update] For no apparent reason, my Z10 returned to battery hog it once was. Saving grace is now when I switch from 4G to 3G, the battery bar hardly move at all. Battery life is so much better with 3G. I remember switching to 3G before 10.2 and there was virtually no difference from 4G in terms of battery life.
