Just wondering if others are noticing improved battery life on 10.2?

I used to leave my Z10 overnight and loose at least 1/4 battery. Now hardly any. Battery also seems to get through the day much easier. I'm usually left with 1/3 battery at the end of a moderate use day. Even a heavier day seems to finish with no red battery. So far I'm a happy camper!

It has some excellent improvements but new bugs are introduced. Generally happy with 10.2 also!

We just got a Z30 in the family this weekend and the battery seems to go and go and go. Put it on the charger at bedtime... won't need to charge it up again until bedtime tomorrow. Woohoo... now if only I can upgrade MY Z10.

You are lucky. I usually have to plug it in at least 3 times.

It's been 3 hrs since iv unplugged my cell from the charger and I'm at 50%. No joke!

Some calls some forums surfing and very few messages.

I have a Q device. Wonder if the OS is optimised for different devices.
When I got the Q around launch it was ok re battery life. Then it settled and gave me absolutely amazing battery life, about 24 hours of my regular usage at least. I was thrilled.
10.1 MR dropped, battery life dropped to 3/4 of what I got before. Same usage. Phone would get hot. Now I could just barely squeeze through some of my 12 hours shifts.
Now 10.2, official updates only. Battery life has dropped again. Now it dies before the end of my shifts. No usage change.
Very disappointed at the moment with battery life on my Q.
This is all with no real gaming or intensive use.

Sounds like the device is defective. I had this 3rd party app that ran in the background (headless) on my Playbook that drained the battery. Maybe check your apps?

I've checked my apps. Via the new App manager. Nothing seems to be spiking. Mind you not 100% sure on what I should be looking for either. I'm guessing it's the cpu usage right?

I have noticed with the z10 a decent improvement with my battery life after10.2. Before i was averaging about 9 hours, now im past 12 easy. I thought for the first few days i might be using it less but more and more now im seeing a trend.

I never turn off wifi. I don't think you need to. If you are not logged in at home it shuts off automatically.

10.2 has always had improved idle battery life for me and continually has gotten better with each build I've had, but the active battery life has pretty much been the same, maybe slightly better.

It's my second day on 10.2 and I have to say the following.. Before yesterday I would burn through my juice in well under 4 hours of heavy use.. I would constantly monitor my battery as it just kept on dropping, even when doing nothing... Since 10.2 my battery seems to leak juice way slower... I still have to test this extensively, but it already feels as if I'm a lot less concerned about the battery dying on me...

I'm happy with my 11-12 hours per day on moderate use. If I have to rush out I no longer have to think to take a charger most times as I did with the 9900.

Ya, my 9810 was awful battery life. Z10 is far better. It's no iPhone but it's getting closer.

From what I heard, you need to give your BlackBerry some time to re-index after the upgrade. The battery usage will improve.

Me too man. On the 10.1 it was still fine. But on the 10.2, i had to take out the sim and put to my iPhone as i travel a bit and sometimes theres no charge points outdoors :glum:
