I updated to the leaked version of 10.2.1 on Sunday. Monday and today I have noticed that the battery life is HORRIBLE now. Has anyone else noticed this change? I was running a pretty old OS version before hand. The device monitor says the system was using 46% of the battery today. I took it off the charger at about 5am today and I was down to 20%! around 2pm. I never had the battery drop to below 30% until like 9-10pm if I was using it heavily.

Only changes... added another e-mail account and upgraded to 10.2.1.

Hmm. The official update might slightly more battery hungry than my previous 10.2 update. Z10STL100-3/10.2.1.1925

I've found the battery life fairly consistent regardless of OS version: It's terrible.

My Z10's performance was making my Lumia 920 look bad, and that took some going. Via this site after some research, I found and ordered this:

    https://forums.crackberry.com/e?link...token=C-Gpnrgm

I can get a typical day off my Z10 with it, and can't recommend them enough over the puny capacity of the stock battery.

Mine is under 20% in under 9 hours. Used to last 15-18 hours with regular usage prior to update.

I changed my second e-mail account to manual sync to see if that helps. My gmail is set to 30 minutes and the new account was an exchange account with push.

What is your expectations of a battery life? Moderns cell phones are just now reaching being able to reliably make an entire work day of constant use. The days of the old BlackBerry phones going for days without charge are gone.

Here is my z10 today, 3 push email accounts, moderate use that picks up after work.

If no picture sorry, my attachment button is not working still... at 44% took off charge at 6am est.

My exceptions are that the battery would be the same after upgrading. ~20 hours.

I wasn't happy with my battery life. I did install a leak before the official upgrade.

I did a clean reload of the OS and I'm now getting good battery life again.

Usually with new OS installs time needs to be given for the battery to recalibrate and 'settle'. The longer you use the phone with the new OS the better it will get.

    Android free since 1996.

So mine is showing 44% of battery but same as yours - 7 hours left. Standby in my case takes only 6.3% and system 13%. But all my email accounts (3) are set to manual...

    Battery Monitor app says:

Great link, Thanks. Definitely getting one of those.
I've noticed a bit more of a drain since my update yesterday. That may be because I can't stop playing with my new Android Apps. Also, I can only imagine the new update needs to settle before making any kind of judgment .
I also recommend getting the "Battery Charger Bundle" (Link Below) I have not plugged my Z10 in since receiving this. One big bonus after update: The Hub instantly loads up after battery swap and re-boot. . It always took a few minutes before.

As of right now... it looks like it was the exchange account I added. Battery has stopped draining like a mofo since I turned push off and set it to manual.

I unplugged mine when I got up and though I'm not what you would call a power user I still had 40% battery 12 hours later. Texts calls a couple YouTube video and email and crackberry. Even pulled up a workout to use at the gym. I feel satisfied with that. Not as bad as some I've had. Sorry you are having problems.

Does the American Z10 run on a different voltage battery? If it doesn't (this one is 3.8v) I could get a few more and send them to CB users all over the place? The additional postage to US and Canada, Europe etc is only a few quid at most (about $3.20) for me to post them over the battery cost, as it's small...

No profit being taken, just want to help everyone with this phone. I've seen lots of people say they are looking at or got a Z30 because of the battery. Guess they forgot you can take the Z10's one out!

Beauty of these batteries is they are the same capacity as the Z30 battery, and fit within the Z10's existing case without needing to change the back cover for a bigger one.

Ty. Those tips are many I and I'm sure many others use to save juice. I do it on this battery too, but that's because I need it to last for more than a day before a visit to the wall!

I'm merely suggesting that for about a tenner in my currency, I went from having 1800mah battery to 2880mah capacity. That's a usable and welcome boost however you look at it over the standard battery...

Damn unfortunately I ordered one already. It was $15.00 for 2680mAH. If I had received your offer I'd have taken it.. but it's only 200mAH off the gold ones I saw on ebay so as long as it works it would be an improvement. The other oem battery I bought cost 10 anyways ah and it's no good for my power usage
