I don't know if it was mentioned, but in those screen shots, it appears that the status bar is visible even when in an app or a menu! Ya y! Plus, it's visually different. The status bar (time etc.) is a dark shade, black even. Wallpaper junkies may not like it, but I dig it.

I'm confused if the top status bar is always visible or not as some screen shots have the status bar, and some don't. Look at the Scotia bank app screen shoots, no status bar...

Believe Flash allows for viewing YouTube on the browser. I have found that YouTube is better through the browser.

Thanks to the OP and everyone else reporting back on 10.1.

Quick question. Are the any EQ options in the music player? I miss that from my legacy BlackBerry device (Bold 9900). The ability to either boost the bass, treble, etc.

I can't seem to find anything.

Awe shucks, I'm wrong. My bad.

On page 5 though, Kris posted a snapshot of his icon grid page and the top does seem to be black with the "Search" magnifying glass sort of greyed out. I'm not sure if that's new but it seems different than what it is now. Just seems like there is a clear divide with that top status bar and the wallpaper. I could be going crazy though. Lol

Unless search is not an option for the test os he has right now...nevermind I'm probably wrong on this whole visual thing.

Anyone know of the contact name list syncing with facebook bug? Basically u cant edit the name of your contact list if you sync it to any social networks. Is this bug fix in 10.1 update? This has been troubling me for a long time. I really don't want to have weird names on my contact list because of their facebook names being pulled.

if you go to youtube.com/html5 and you enable it, you will use on any browser as long as the video is properly encoded for html5 playback

BTW: download Fasttube app and have a native youtube app that plays HD, not just HQ.

there is a workaround. when you link a sim/stock contact with his/her facebook profile the contact has to be the root (the upper name) then it will pull the original name and not the facebook name. found that out when having the same issues that you described. example:

1. Peter Wagner
2. Pete the Man Wagner

Thanks for the tip... I'm going to try it out. I like the HD mode when using Desktop Mode on the browser mainly because I can run multiple Web pages as needed.
