You can do that already via the contacts app, I think. Ring tones for calls anyway. Not sure about text messages.
No, that was for email messages, not text. That was the confusing part of the OS. I thought it was for text messages, but turns out it was for emails from contacts. That was actually kinda stupid. Text messages would have been more important, at least for me. Should have not been that hard to implement, as it has the ability to identify callers by number already.

Thanks Kris for posting all your findings. I guess the deciding factor for me on a Z10 is the 30 day email limit. Any updates on whether this issue has been address in 10.1?
When I go into Gmail account setup there is no longer a option to choose how many days you want to sync so that should be a plus I'll try doing a search on Gmail and report my findings

Edit: tried a search and it doesn't search into the Gmail server so maybe it's a feature to be implemented come full OS release

I don't know if this is new or not. I remember the first time using the Z10 and going to a flash site and the browser produced a message saying Do I want to turn on adobe flash...

    I'm excited.
Am I understanding that if I use the file for my version of SL that it is still NOT a full OS being loaded on the device?
I am new to trying to work with the OS of the new Z10 and would love to test out the SL version my phone has but not if it is not a FULL OS.
    Thanks!

It's good for those video sites that doesn't support YouTube video. Aside from videos, a site that heavily uses flash is TMZ.com

CNN.com news video are flash. It's a good alternative until a CNN native app comes along.

Just asking this seeing as i do not see if anyone else asked. Is there a setting to change the LED colors for different notifications? This would be a nice feature to add.

Also have they added the equalizer for the music app?

I wish they'd put a brightness toggle on the pull down menu from home. Are the BBM updates from friends the same? I'd like them to be like before where if a person updates more than 1 thing or multiple times, it would be like a pull down tab and not consecutive updates of the same person

Wifi connectivity on the 04 build is brutally bad. Stays connected for 10-30 seconds at a time then drops off for a couple minutes.
My 004 is Rick solid on WiFi.
