    Although BB did not start official distribution of Z-10 in Poland, so there are currently no chances for OTA update, let me just confirm that BB Link allowed today to update the unlocked Z-10, version STL100-2 with removed SIM card, via the Restore Device. Already downloaded and updated. Hope it helps the other Users. Cheers.

    All I can say is WOW, WOW and Super WOW!!! I've been trying this method since I bought the phone two weeks ago to no avail. Finally today it worked!!! I'm at 10.0.10.90 and I was also able to download Whatsapp immediately!! I'm in Thailand on an STL100-2 and also have no official launch here as well.

    Thanks guys for staying on top of this!!

    FYI, just one point of clarification; the function is not Restore Device, it's Reload Device Software. Restore Device will only restore from back-ups or restore to factory default settings ;-)

    Lastly, make sure you do a FULL back-up first because you are going to lose ALL of your settings during the upgrade!!

    Same here. my Link only seems to offer "restore" but not "reload device software". where can i find this option?

    In BB Link, you have to select the tab showing your PC (not the Z10), then the Reload Device Software option is in the middle of the options.

    I can confirm. It worked for me as well, being "On th road " with various MVNOs SIMs.

    Did the update using Link method, even having the SIM in the phone

    I'm registered as UK although I'm in Italy.

    Not sure it will help, but actually, due to heaving issues with Link, I have removed Link from my computer, cleaning all history settings etc, restarted the computer and installed Link again. Then it just worked.

    Back up first and then reload software,the first time will show u same version,click ok to restore to factory settings and then u will see the update. By the way,do that without SIM card.
