I know a bit about networks and such, but not much about sim cards and unlocked phones. I have unlocked a verizon phone for AT&T before, but that's totally different i think.

I have been lucky enough to come across a t-mobile bold 9700, and want to use it for verizon. Is this possible? Can I unlock it and activate it on verizon? I have a sim card in my storm2 if that can make any sort of difference. I really have no idea if this is even possible...

will an Unlocked 9700 work with Verizon?
    No.

    10char.

edit to add: Verizon's "global" phones that are equipped with SIM cards do not use the SIM card in the US, only the CDMA network. A 9700 can not scan CDMA networks at all.

An unlocked Verizon quad band world phone can be used on ATT and TMo.
It's not reciprocal though so I think that's where the confusion comes from.

OP: No. The 9700 doesn't have a CDMA radio which is required for Verizon service.
