Im trying to make this phone work on my carrier BOOSTMobile, with the Unlimited plan which is like Sprint CDMA. I have a SIM card but it might be an iden SIM card from previous service 'pay as you go', since i read CDMA do not use SIM cards..the phone is from Cbeyond which is a small business IP service carrier not Verizon or Sprint.I cannot pick up signal i either get the American Roaming network, or nothing when i try to make a call. and when i go to mobile settings it will say that my carrier is Cbeyond
    Any help would be appreciated.

and I used QPST to change the SPC Code and Phone Number to match that on my SIM card. But i think i did something wrong, i thought that this would get the phone off the Cbeyond service, I deleted the one entry that was under M.I.P. tab. Could that be the reason i am not getting service? How can i add that entry.

Same way you delete it you add it. It needs to be flashed to Boost Mobile. Not RIM OS LOL.

You cannot unlock it for use on a CDMA network. Unlocking would only make you able to use a local carrier's SIM card if that carrier is not in North America.

You cannot use the 8830 on North American GSM networks.

i have read that it could be unlocked for CDMA networks it only needs to be registered to the network you wish to use. Someone please clarify if the 8830WE is possible to pickup Boost CDMA Signal

You would need to get it flashed with the proper settings and the provider you wish to use would have to have an "Open ESN policy" and let you register that ESN on their Network.

No it is not. The 8350i is the only iDEN BlackBerry.
