I have no clue whatesoever since i always type my password in correctly (how do you use up all 10?) anyways, try shutting down phone, pull out the battery for about a minute, put it back in, and see if it offers a new set of attempts. Also try syncing your Torch to your PC and look around the Blackberry Desktop for options. As a last resort update/reload OS and/or from backup if the first options don't help

Zero MEP attempts means the phone is hard locked. I believe there are some companies that do offer services to fix this, but it is not cheap and not straightforward, I vaguely recall prices like $50+. Search/post in the unlocking forums.

Let this be a warning to everyone else out there for entering unlock codes. If the unlock code doesn't work right away (and you're sure you submitted the correct IMEI and have entered the MEP unlock code correctly), don't bother trying again. I've unlocked two phones so far, and when the code is correct, it works instantly.

None of the above is going to do you any good in fixing your issue. You cannot reset your
attempts via battery pulls, OS reloads, etc.....

You need to take the phone to a shop that can "cable" unlock your phone. That is
essentially your only option at this point.

you click on the link to enter the new password. all done on your computer. this is basically what the article said. hope it helps

The users issue is NOT one related to a password in any way at all. The user is at a point
where they are unable to enter the MEP code to unlock the phone due to too many incorrect
    attempts.

The term "UNLOCK" in this case is the act of removing the carrier restriction so that a
different carriers SIM card can be put into the phone and work.

yeah you're stuck. your only options now are to find somewhere that will hard-unlock your phone (via cable connection), or to contact your carrier and seeing if they would be willing to unlock it. my first thought would be a likely no.

He's right I was quick reading and skipped right over the OP's mention of Rogers. Sorry!

Only solution for hardlocked devices is DM3 in Europe. Remote server has been down for months now. There are talks that it might be back up by September.

You need software to get around a "hardlock". Alternatively, you can ask BlackBerry, who have reset the unlock attempts counter on rare occasions in the past.

You will need to send out your device to a DM3 service centre located somewhere in Europe.

Good advice above about nothing you can do to reset it.

You need to send it in to a special service center to have it reset.

Only these models can be done and no other.

Use this stuff responsibly, and DON'T go hard re-entering over and over again. One try, and one re-try maybe to rule out typos, and that's it. Get another code.

T-mobile will not allow our bold 9780 to be unlocked with their own MEP code because our corporate account is no longer with them. They set the attempts remaining to zero and refuse to help in any way unless we create a new contract and associate this phone with the contract. Bah, what a racket eh ?!

John Rivas, where are you? T-mobile won't allow their own unlock code unless we sign up for a new contract and use the phone on it. THEN they said that they could reset the zero left to 10. What a scam...!!!

I have a Z10 locked on Rogers. I want to give it to my wife on Bell network. With all this news I'm afraid of spending money to unlock it if I might not work and I end up with it hard locked. I have never unlocked a phone before. Which unlocking service would you recommend?
